carl palmer left rooster june 1970. he was replaced by ric parnell in june 1970 who stayed till august /september 1970.paul hammond was his replacement ,he left late 1971 which is when ric parnell rejoined..thats right he played with rooster in 1970 ..then again late 1971.if the dates on the 3 clips on you tube from august 1970 are to be believed then the drummer is ric parnell
Drummer is Ric Parnell . Check all 12.49 of zenith s posting I can't take no more which is Paul Hammond .. Instantly recognizable . The last 40 seconds show Paul Hammond at his best ,must be the most underrated rock drummer ever ,should have had more recognition for his work . Rip paul
I recall the drummer having a huge Hayman double bass kit. The bass drums were 6 foot long....haha

It's definitely not Ric Parnell on drums, it's Paul Hammond.

Drummer could be Carl Palmer in 1970

is this Ric Parnell or Paul Hammond behind the drumkit?
theSavageHippie 3 months ago
@theSavageHippie It's Paul Hammond. Carl Palmer split for ELP in June of '70. Ric Parnell joined near the end of '71 after DuCann and Hammond split.

@aspersive according to wikipedia Ric Parnell filled the drums in August 1970 before they recruited Paul Hammond?

damn the "talent" shows in the 70's were nice. I wish a program like this was still around featuring great bands and not all the modern shit.
