  • I'm so stunned o,o

  • @chroniclerofthe70s I actually want to see your accurate drawings. Beginning to start, similar to this video.

  • I hate stan lees humor, its old and rude. Poor Jim, that has to be with him.

  • question, do they usually draw this big?

  • Stan realy digs comic-book gals... when Jim was drawing the girl, Stan stood quiet the most xD

  • why would u dislike this r u just...... AHHH

  • i don't like stan lee....

  • the most impressive thing is the signature. dang thats fast

  • I love how Jim is giving kiddies advice the whole time he's drawing, thank you Jim, you have inspired me.

  • Wow look at how young Jim Lee looks, can't believe it's been almost 20 years since this was made.

  • thx a million

  • Amazing, just spectacular

  • @0DW yes it is

  • Secretary? Sounds like Iron man rofl o.o

    Pepper? O_O haha

  • u might as well give stan a fukn wip, wut a douche bag!!

  • @toolfan2300 this guy probably makes more money then you could ever dream of....

  • what age was Jim here?

  • every line he draws is soooo accurate... i very often make extra lines or inaccurate lines that go everywhere.. their so professional!

  • @laubeatz Jim is a very good artist, but he is not accurate. His penciled tricep should be extended as the arm bends at the elbow. I was penciling like this at the age of 10 without any training or practice. I seriously considered becoming a comic book artist. However, my penciling abilities have served me well throughout my life in other areas. Highly skilled and accurate artwork is a requirement of scientific illustrators as well as patent artists.

  • @chroniclerofthe70s oh.. so you think you're better that jim lee? prove it... and one more thing... he is drawing on the spot, somewhat rushing the drawing.... and another thing... artists have their own styles, who the Fuk are you to tell something is wrong with an artist's work?

  • @hunyonse I've drawn comic book superheroes, portraits, and wildlife since I was 10 years old. Secondly, I'm a scientist who knows human anatomy and have drawn accurate detailed human anatomy sketches for my human anatomy and physiology undergraduate studies. Lee's sketched tricep is flexed while the bicep is flexed. The tricep should be drawn extended. Who are you to state what constitutes an accurate sketch?

  • @chroniclerofthe70s

    dude.....it's a comic....on the spot.......

  • @MrLeopardgekko Don't get me wrong. I'm a fan of Jim Lee's work on Batman " Hush " graphic novel as well as a few others.

  • @chroniclerofthe70s hey stupid... like I said, it's his own style... you know what style is? that's how jim lee wants to draw so fuk off... every artist has his own "style" no one has the right to say what that artist is doing wrong or right because it's his "style" stupid...

  • @hunyonse Take a good look in the mirror, if you truly want to see stupidity. I stated that Jim is a very good artist. If it's a matter of style, then why don't artists draw eyes, ears, and mouths or limbs in the wrong places on the human form, if accuracy doesn't matter? We have freedom of the press and freedom of expression in the U.S.A., so I have the right to comment and state he is inaccurate with his sketch.

  • @chroniclerofthe70s have you ever seen anime? accuracy is not an issue when it comes to art, dickhead... and again... you can't say that an artist is inaccurate when he's doing his own style... how about you post a link on your drawings... you said you've been drawing since you were 10, let "us" see your works before you judge professional artists and brag "I was penciling like this at the age of 10 without any training" if you draw like this when you were 10 then you must be a GODLIKE artist!

  • @hunyonse Yes, I have. I depends on what type of art, genius. Accuracy? That's why comics from the 90s are relatively worthless when compared to comics from before the 90s. Drawing accurately takes patience and talent. Comic artists need to draw sufficient panels and meet deadlines, therefore not being accurate under these circumstances is understandable. Why do you think Marvel artists use backgrounds from New York city to draw their panels.

  • stan is annoying

  • @jurgislv you are annoying. Stan is a legend.

  • Stan: Jim, your known for your (insert noun here)

    Jim: lol

  • i cry because want to become like him, but i dont know how to get better.

  • @18ayonuss

Man, you just need to keep practising, draw it over and over again.

The guy didn't weak up so good he worked hard to get to this.

  • This is pure awesome. I'm a writer but there are times I wish I had drawing talents as well.

  • Then, start drawing for relaxing, on the free time, to enter in a new world, a world of creation, satisfication, draw for pleasure.

  • damn i respect stan and all...but c'mon...let jim finish his art of story telling before being cute with the "you know what everybody would like to see...how do you sign your name?" NEXT... =P

  • I HATE him.. How can he draw so good yet so easily... He draw that quickly while talking without any major error... I would kill 1000 pigeons to get his skills... xD

  • it may seem impossible to draw like jim lee but really all it takes is practice, at first that sounded like a lie to me but actualy with your effort and hard work it becomes easier like math, riding a bike or even typing

  • damn us asians.... xD

haha, im kidding, im jealous of him too!

  • No joke, in my opinion Japanese animation is still the best in the world

  • it easy to draw

  • After spending years of drawing 8 hours a day you'd be able to do that too

  • @HDibbles eh.....Jim Lee is not just your average artist. He is one of the top pencillers in the world.

  • That's because he put a lot of time into it there's nothing supernatural about him if you wanna be good at something you gotta devote yourself to it

  • Stan Lee is so positive lol like a Happy grand father figure

  • Jim Lee's not annoyed by Stan, he loved hanging out with Stan, he's a living legend. He seems very excited with the whole interview

  • @CineRecon You're right, he's probably more concerned with trying to impress Stan Lee, in consideration of his experience. Hell, I know I'd be at least a bit intimidated.

  • ......FLIPPIN ECK!

  • stan is giving lee the most retarded props.''ur known for ur broken glass''

  • 'some artists just wanna draw heros'' thts rob lienfeld

  • Haha, even more ironic you mention that as some of Liefield's "artwork" is looming over Stan and Jim for the entire interview.

  • im not realy into comics but i gota say i would love to hang out with stan lee for a day. he seems like a cool guy to be with.

  • Yes, It's so difficult to master the art of drawing. And Jim Lee has mastered the art of drawing.

  • one thing i love about him is tht he takes so much time on his pages. a lot of artists get the job done but u can spot mistakes. but jim lee takes so much time on his work to make it have no mistakes and look as best as possible.

  • "Now come on Jim, really press hard on that paper! Get a nice dark pen there, we want everyone to see the damsel!"

What the hell is with Stan's yapping?

  • I figured the room would have exploded in pure awesomeness by now....

  • Lol wow he totally put that together so fast.. amazing stuff. I'm surrpised he doesn't know what a deltoid is though LOL

  • i think i have to spend lots of time drawing tht..jim lee ur great!

  • simply a true comic book art genius.

  • jim lee is amazing artist

  • DAMN it would take me like 7 hours to draw a crap version of that jim lee is rediculously good!

  • it would take most ppl that long+

  • Jim Lee is the greatest comic book artist of all time!!!

  • lol

I love Stans Lee's sense of humour :P

and Jim Lee is so great! he draws so fast!

  • The difference between Dale Keown and Jim Lee is that it doesn't take Jim 4 months to put out one issue of a comic book.

  • but he is known for delaying sometimes

  • Wow, I wouldn't classify his work as "bad" but you're right with quick, which to me is not a bad thing at all. I'm sure that if Jim were to "take his time" (i.e. delay issue after issue months at a time) I'm sure the artwork would be exemplary, but I definitely wouldn't go so far as to call it bad.

  • yeah im just trying to explain myself i dont mean his work is bad, but anyways i havent seen a jim lee work that just blows my mind, most of his work looks the same

  • did you say "bad"? who are you to say that?

  • jim lee is a great artist :)

  • really ? then i might be someone to take seriously

  • This is great

  • Pretty funny how he gets him to sign his name on the drawing. Greedy bastard will probably sell it on ebay 20 years later.

  • this guy is pretty good, but i like more dale keowun's final outcomes

  • This guy? You know Dale Keown but not Jim Lee? Funny!

  • yeah i know jim even b4 dale, but i just say i like dale better

  • dale is an amazing artist but i like jim better cos im used to him and just watching him or readin his books has improved my drawing a lot

  • SO fucking good . Would take me 10 hours to draw something like that :P

  • 'Attaboy!' There's something wierd about Stan, I think he's been drinking...

  • lol i love how stan never knows whats going on, like when he jim was half done the girl and realized after he mentioned it

  • thats one thing i need to work on,my backgrounds...

  • i love how stan the man wants to hault jim's drawing and go on to something else when he's like 85% done. Just let him finish u fuckin monkey u aint got his skils.

  • lol

  • hahahaahahaha ...monkey

  • can some one post the Todd Mcfarlin episodes

  • have you seen the documentary "the devil within" on mcfarlen?

  • i looked it up, i think its:The Devil you know Todd Mcfarlane, haven't seen it yet

  • todd mcfarlane came up with the idea for spawn, but it was Greg Capullo and Angel Medina who were the artists really responsible for the badass look of the comics.

  • Yep - Capullo's skill grew to overshadow McFarlane's ten fold. Once he got comfortable with his own style on that book, holy shit, some of the best comic illustration I've seen, and the detail...the man is insane

  • gotta luv them both...they r the best ever

  • I envy them both. By the way... when has this show been shot?

  • jim lee is so talented

  • Jim's work is very inspirational. Watching him work developed my drawing abilities!

  • my weak points are shadowing and holding ppl.

  • me to hours with pencil considering i would do a lot of erasing im gonna make my muscles more like his mine are to basic his are realycool it works great on superman

  • Jim Lee *was* God....Hey Jim! How's WildC.A.T.S#2 and "all STar Batman and Robin" coming along?

  • beautiful

  • whats up with the old fart interrupting the master

  • That "old fart" is the reason comics today are what they are!!! Show some respect to the Man!

  • that "old fart" created spider man...

  • That old Fart IS the master! He pays Jim Lee his salary. That old fart was the man who put those super heroes in the movies you pay to watch, not to mention the comic books.

  • i would be HOURS to do that thing! god! i envy that guy!!! so awesome

  • five five five five five

    starss...

    really nice.

  • Yes, thank you for this series!!

  • thanks so much for posting this!
