People always complain bout minecrafts graphics, but the graphs have to be that low so what part of the world your in can spawn, because they world is so large, and if you want better graphics then get a hd texture pack, but I have 16 gb of ram and a hd texture pack lags my computers so bad, I can't even move on minecraft

Yes, Minecraft is a game. But I agree with the notion that it is not like traditional games in that it doesn't really fit a specific genre (the closest genre would be sandbox, but GTA is also a sandbox, so MC isn't a typical sandbox). 99% of games that come out fit into a category like FPS, RPG, Strategy, Platformer, Sandbox, Sports, Puzzles, Action, Adventure, etc. MC fits many of those and none of those at the same time, so while it's still a game, it's not easy to classify as one type of one.

well one thing to think about... is that it is a buy-in open "beta" game. Minecraft has changed a lot over the past year and will continue to change. At some point there will be "normal" game characteristics to it probably even if that is only user brought in missions.
