well i guess its human nature we always want some for anyting we do in life, to work at on office we need money, to share our ideas we look forward for reward, this keeps us from sharing most of what we have in mind if we don't receive something in return.

even tough i want to do something for the community (people around me). i wouldn't wanna sell any of my patent for low or unacceptable price, i am not being selfish here but i would then rather keep the patent for myself.

most of the things your mentioned in this "Brain to Gain" session are really good once, i definitely agree to most of those, like if you have patent or concept and keep it to yourself then really you are doing yourself no benefit nor its helping anyone else.
