I still have my mother's old typewriter and remember replacing the ribbon. I had no idea they came in these charming little tins. Lovely presentation!
Hey!!! This was actually pretty great... wish i had known you where into this a while ago as I am an avid yardsale lady and have seen these before many times... but I will keep you in mind in the future. Awesome vid and very well done.
Fantastic narrative! I never knew that people actually collected these things until I watched this video. I love the tongue-in-cheek comparisons to the modern digital equivalents.
A wonderful production from a relatively new Ribbon Tin Collector that makes ribbon tin collecting come alive! Kudos also to Steve for sharing his collection. Thanks to both for promoting this wonderful collecting hobby. Hoby at RIBBON TIN NEWS
what a spiffy documentary- wonderfully made- and the subject matter took me completely by surprise, lol!
the typewriter ribbon tins are so charming! i can see how once you started noticing and collecting them, it would be easy to become entirely obsessed! this is lovely, a thoroughly refreshing break from the heavy-hearted day i had today... thanks again for lifting me outta da dumps :o)

Very nice typewriters along with their ribbons. It really is amazing at all of the different machines there are. I am a typewriter collector.
