This is one of those songs that I like because it catches all the right aspects of... ugh, dare I say it... power metal.

Tobia himself says he doesn't make his music one particular genre, but that itisn't powermetal. t certainly used to be, but not any more. Which is a good thing. I would like powermetal if bands didn't insist on making it all so samey, and woth cringeworthy lyrics. This song takes the 'epic' of powermetal and makes it, you know, good.

I've longed thought which song I'd proclaim to be my most favourite. The song with capital "S", the one to which all other songs should be compared. It's The Scarecrow. The song just has it all and some more on top. It's perfect, balanced, melodic, I love the text, too. It's just an amazing piece of art. I bow to the people who worked on this one. Kiske is INDEED in this track, you can hear him singing at the very end. Tobi sings the chorus for the last time (Rise to fame...time has come) and then Kiske sings the last part with Lande. It's a tiny presence but at least he belongs to this epic song =D By the way, can't freaking wait to hear these new 2 albuns. I'm already shaking of anticipation \o/

Power metal = good. Dragonforce is somehow called power metal. Therefore, basic logic solutions. Power metal in general is good. (Including bands playing it - Including DF) Different amounts of "epic" in each band is another question. End of story.

Really, it's all according to taste in music, which varies in every person. I don't listen to DragonForce, IMO they are too generic, and their songs are too damn long, I don't enjoy spending 7-10 minutes listening to generic power metal riffs, but once again, it's all according to opinion and taste in music, so just enjoy the music :)
