  • I'm so glad i have a game x change 5 minutes away from my house! :)

  • I was actually delighted when I found out that there's a Game X Change right near OKC now I can go there ^^

  • that store is heaven!!!!!!!

  • I wish we had places like that around here... The only place to get old games here is flea markets. Would be nice to have a nice clean shop that sold classic and retro gear.

  • Your tours of these stores inspired me to do a tour of my favorite video game store, so thank you John :)

  • if i had money this is where i would spend it saying "gimme one of everything!"

  • If you live in New England there are two places in the area and they are both in Connecticut one is in Bridgeport and I dunno where the other one is but it says it on its page Thumbs up so people can see

  • Damn wish they had one in Fort Worth too

  • no fair yours has alot more stuff than the one in Jonesboro Arkansas :(

  • thier is a game store here where i live and they sale every game that came out old school games and new school games the name of the store is called Ziggy

i collect sega genesis games i am trying to get a copy of every sega genesis game that came out

  • @Gamester81 !i have a game x change here in OKC its awesome man,if you get the chance see you can find "Vintage stock"

  • Whoa, I have a local store called Play N Trade and the sell old and new stuff, even the company logo is in the same text.

  • I didn't know Game X Change had any stores down in Texas. Good thing to see that they're moving on outside of Arkansas.

  • We need this in Poland, we dont have classic games shop :(

  • I hope this company becomes natinal along with play 'n trade it'd force gamestop to sell retro games as well as lower the price for used games in order to compete

  • i came all over myself

  • what a heavenly looking place!

  • OMG.......... it is look like museum. nice video i like it

  • Yeah star fox! And yeah to the final fantasy's 8 and 9 I saw. Lot's of old school cool games and equipment. -Follow me fox, and then get this guy behind me. Try to save slippy. Then fire a torpedo. Damn Peppy is down, No badge for this damn lava mission XD

  • Just to let everyone know that game gear battery pack is gone.

  • @Ictharyyn fellow wacoan eh?

  • @theproducer14 for the moment. The battery was broke anyway haha had to return it great store though.

  • oooooooooooo MAN i sooooooooooooooooo now wont to rob a bank and bay everything here,oo man ,if only i am rich :DDD

this store is my dream :D

  • we have game x change in Arkansas,it's pretty sweet

  • They need to bring one to my city, it is big enough. I can get to one but I have to travel 2 freaking hours to get to it.

  • I wish MY COUNTRY had this kind of game store...:(

I will be a club member forever if I could...

  • great looking store and what a beautiful selection of ps1 games there.

our problem in australia is a lack of population. just dont have the numbers to make having retro only gaming stores viable. we have games for all which is our best in adelaide. might do a video showing that place

  • There is nothing like this in England

  • im lucky. I have a store like that only 20 miles away :D

  • Oh I hope that these stores will start to pop up in Chicago. We've got two main retro game stores here: People Play Games and Videogames Then & Now. Both are decent stores that cater to retro gamers but they are nothing like this Game X Change. A franchise called Play N trade tried to break into the market here in Chicago, but they've closed up most of their shops. Ah well. And yes, what is up with DS owners losing their cases and manuals?!!

  • Heaven

  • IF FORREST FROM GAME X CHANGE READ THIS: DIE IN A FIRE. YOU ARE THE REASON COLE IS DEAD. (NASHVILLE TEEN WHO WAS SHOT & THE SECURITY CAMERA DIDNT WORK)

  • I live 20 miles from this store, I've bought most of my PS2 games there, and some GameCube games. extremely wonderful service, the guys there are so stinking funny. and its not that hard to find anything. great selections.

  • Waco Texas where the army is used against american people watch ur back while going to this store... CIA will get you

  • not one turbografx game :..-(

  • @lovelorn8888 I bought my turbografx16 from the CGX at stonebriar. Game selection was nearly non-existant though, all I really wanted was Bonk's Adventure though :) He did through in Keith Courage with the purchase though.

  • @Surannhealz haha yeah Ive only seen a turbografx game ONCE well besides when i was like 5 at a toys r us LOL u can get bonks adventure for like $10 on ebay...

  • do you live in tx or something?? im in fort worth.... damn wish this place was much closer to me

  • @lovelorn8888 I also live in Fort Worth. You might head up to Stonebriar Mall in Frisco (next to Ikea). There is a store in there called CGX and the manager of the place really knows his stuff. Have picked up probably a dozen retro consoles from him. There return policy is lame (another location sold me a console that I tested there in the store and it wouldn't turn on and they would not refund my money, they offered only to try and fix it, i exchanged), but overall they are a good store.

  • they sell all their strat guides for 6.95 too :) even newer ones.

  • I've been going to Game X Change since i was like 7 :p lol

  • Niiiiiiiiice! I go in there all the time and you are right, that store is awesome, the people who work there are awesome too. Thanks for the review.

  • ...and that copy of 'Perfect Dark' probably should be behind the counter ;)

  • Great clip J, but juuuuuust one thing....the thing that is annoying about some Game X Change stores and all the others like it? This ridiculous price-gouging and shit, it's just unnecessary- at least that's what I have experienced in Oklahoma and it seems to be a trend among these stores, and Gamestop etc. STOP CHARGING 7$ for NES COMMONS -good grief! That's why that stuff stays on your shelves! On the upside, store looks nice.

  • This kind of store is one of many reasons, why I want to visit U.S. Seriously. You wouldn't find something like this here, in Ukraine.

  • Hey, we think it's really cool that you did this for our stores. That's really cool. :) - Palestine, Tx GameXchange

  • Yeah, my store! Thanks for the great review, sir! Everyone in the Waco area should stop by. ^_^

  • Pack your bags, we're going to Texas.

  • DAM i wish there were shops like that in Australia! Closest we have is EB games which really only go back as far as PS2. Or else cash converters (like a pawn shop) or ebay.

Though i would NEVER leave that place without spending at least $1000 on games. So maybe its a good thing there isnt any shops here haha

  • You have a deep voice for such a little fella.

  • could u please come across the river and up a ways to games 4 u in mission viejo, california plz

    that would be awesome.

  • Dang, I wish we had those kind of stores in Illinois.

  • I just watched one of many LukeMorse1 trips to Hard off and Super Potato in Japan and unfortunately, those are better than Gameexchange. It's alright though because I don't even have a Gameexchange in my area, I'm stuck with Gamestop ripoff.

  • This totally beats Chumleigh's which is a store that I go to often... though it's only the one out of three that I ever went to.

  • they used to have a Game X Change in Mobile, AL. It went out of business in like 1999 or something, a real shame, thought it was the only one. Happy to see its still around in different places.

  • your mic sucks cock!

  • gamester looks like a pop up cutout in the corner

(like the toasty guy in MK)

  • Incredible. I can never get tired of watching these and see these retro games. Nice video. How were the pricing for the consoles? There's a store by me that wanted an average 50 bucks. Even if it looks like it was in a soccer game and the console being the ball.

  • I wish there was a store like this near me

  • i like how ur in the corner! very cool video!

  • John, would you show us your lighting setup for the chromakey screen? :D

Yesterday I finished building the PVC pipe stand for mine, but I'm hoping to avoid paying $170 for 3 lights, albeit they are quite nice.

  • What happened to the reviews of old systems on this channel? Have those moved to a new channel? Is this now a channel that only shows game stores?

  • I swear that hat is glued to your head....:/

  • That yellow Super NES system is limited edition (rolls eyes)

  • GameXChange stores depress the hell out of me

  • I wish I had a game store like that.

  • @ClassicMetalFan22 me to not many in australia

  • @ClassicMetalFan22 i just wish,that i could visit a store like that :S

  • You should go to Europe and Japan to check out some obscure game stores. Dude that's like some documentary material :)

  • I'd say don't include you in these videos, it's kinda distracting and when people talk I can't help but to look at them. Found myself looking at you more than the video. Just a little feedback.

  • 2:40 new game, "soul calibEr"

  • This Store looks colossal, this isnt a format of store weve seen in any great volume in the UK yet. Is it an industry thats still growing in the US John or has it reached its level? Ohh and whilst I think about new vid up mate that I would as always welcome your view/comment on. Cheers Fuzz.

  • Jeeze. You've shrunk.

  • Rockband 3 you can play with a real guitar, its custom for the game though

  • So much hair on one arm ;)

  • All those XBOX, Nintendo 64, SNES, NES games :|.. It's not nice to tease John! Nice video :)

  • funny... when he was rifling through the Game Gear games I noticed 2 that I still have. Ren and Stimpy and the Super Monaco GP game he picked out.

  • Yep rick moranis was barney and john goodman was fred flinstone :P

  • :)

  • Thanks for the game store porn, John. Guess I'll go back to rehab now.

  • I'm impressed by the shrink wrapping.

I have a used game store in my town.

They don't even come close to that kind of quality of care.

  • I don't get how people lose DS cases like crazy. My Gamestop has some harder to find DS games for good prices, however 99% of them were in generic cases. Bleh. People...

  • @MrDeathSmiles people like my sister, she throws them out and keeps the games in a pouch

  • @MrDeathSmiles I talk to Gamestop guy and he told me that they throw away the game cases in some stores to save space.

  • @MrDeathSmiles I know.

I let my friend borrow my DS Lite with Pokemon Black.

He lost the stylus, the GBA slot thing, and the game!

  • @MrDeathSmiles

Probably because of the small size of the games. People tend to put the games in carrying case where you have your console and all the games and so the game cases become "useless"

  • Raise your hand if you paused the video to read cartridge titles? *raises hand*

  • These Stores SCREW the CUSTOMER! They Pay $4 for any system, like Atari Jaguar, NES,SNES etc... They say they are not collectors and dont pay collector prices, BUT, THEY SELL AT COLLECTOR'S PRICES! Im sure they are taught to say that!

  • @kingjaekob It's a store they want to make a profit, but then again who in the right mind would trade in a classic game console or games :p

  • @AudioBetaDelta Someone clearing out their house.

  • @kingjaekob Most stores screw you over on trade ins.

  • Oh shit, I have one of these in my state, I gotta go!

  • Wouldn't recommend selling stuff to them though. They severely underprice you expectially on retro stuff. I was offered a mere 8 bucks for a model 1 genesis and it had to have all the cords. Oh well, they are a business after all. Still you can find some good deals on games there, espectially with the buy 3 get 1 deal that the one near me offers.

  • Wish i they had those stores in South California!

  • I have a Game Exchange near me. What's nice about them is that they have a buy 3 get 1 free deal on games 7.95 and under, which most retro games are under that.

  • Please bring this to the west coast lol. I remember funcoland use to be like this. The only story we have that I know of is Game Trade.

  • i have never seen a gamexchange on the east coast

  • Awesome store

  • Wow that store has heaps of awesome retro goodness. If I lived anywhere near it I would be dead broke! Nice to see a good range across a larger number of systems too.

    Thanks for the tour.

  • You said they're still growing right? Well I hope they start expanding because I need an alternative to Gamestop. I wish this place was near me.

  • imagine how much a robber stole from that store

  • if i had a store like that near my house, i would never buy or trade a game with gamestop again

  • Wouldn't mind seeing one of these stores with some Amiga stuff, particularly the Amiga CD32

  • that looks like a sweet store. Wish we had something like that here!

  • Wow that place looks amazing!

  • what camera do u use

  • Brown plastic SNES from discoloration! Probably was cheaper

  • hey john! i have a bright green transparent n64 do you know if its worth anything?

  • @RIPPIFICATION its officialy called "jungle green" and came as a donkey kong 64 bundle. not worth much but still cool to have. I got mine for 50 cents because they thought the first controller port was dead...hit it up with some electrical contact cleaner and works perfect.

  • Is Game X Change growing across the country or just by where you live?

  • 1:02 Gladius= BEST GAME EVER!

  • We have a place like that called Another Castle, they are not nearly as big and have more retro games.

  • @SirHomsar in Edmonds, WA?

  • @Mortalcow Around that area, yes.

  • @SirHomsar yeah that place is awesome, their trade in prices are insane!

  • i would chop of my head for one of these in Australia

  • COME TO VIDEO GAME STAR UP HERE IN WISCONSIN!!! TOTALY WORTH THE LONG TRIP!!!

  • there's a game store close to were I live called just press play, alot like this store, very decently priced and the staff is awesome unlike gamestop lol. I dont know about anyone else but these kinda stores are like heaven to me lol

  • John, how how often do you go into a retro game store like this and the prices our outragise i have one by me that charges $22 for smb and duck hunt

  • @ZavenNes1718 where do you live? a lot of times the prices and how common they are depends on where you live.

  • @something2424 Souther california, its a store in a mall, i buy from a flea market where i get good deals, but i checked this store out and everything is overpriced, $10 games are now $25, $2 games are $8, everythings overpiced

  • @ZavenNes1718 that's crazy. in the midwest we have a chain called gamers. they sell pretty good stuff for low prices. but they severly underprice when you try to sell to them

  • They also have a game x change in lafayette, indiana, but I think that one's privately owned.

  • I'm proud to have had you in my state.

  • Im starting to think that looking and promoting retro game stores is his Job.

  • John, are you sure this isn't your garage?

  • Go to Weatherford, TX's Game Haven!

  • I have the green 64

  • Break down is a underrated xbox game, controls are a bit weird at first but it is overall a great game.

  • Wish they had one here in Orlando. Fucking Gamestop is lame as fuck -- taking finger prints for exchanges on video games (things that have no serial number) -- it's backwards as fuck.

  • Lol @ Adrian. Wish i could do some more collecting myself but ever since the big quake last year ive boxed all my collection and stopped buying them.

  • YAY CORNER GAMESTER!!

  • I do love a good game shop. My friend ran his own for a short while, a little store called "Zombie Games" in Deridder, LA. It was a nice store as well, but the market just wasn't there and he had to close up shop.

Luckily for me, there's a game store every few miles here, or at least it seems that way. :)

  • Why isn't there ANY store like this in the Wisconsin / Illinois area? =/

  • We used to have one of these in Chattanooga, but it closed. Which sucks, because it was awesome. :'(

  • We need places like this near SF Bay Area too.

  • best burnout game ever made was for the original xbox, Burnout: Takedown, so sick.

  • We need places like this near DC

  • I wish they had shops like this in Australia :(

  • I wish their was stores like this where i live

  • Finally got a GameXchange in my area, I'm loving it bought a Sega Genesis yesterday. Of course they gave me the wrong power supply for it but whatever.

  • The little man in the corner scares me :'(

  • You still have the Ren and Stimpy game?

  • my god!!! super potato eat your heart out!!!!

  • Great store !! I wish I had stores like that in my area !! The link to their site doesn't work.. :(

  • Wow! You actually found a game gear game at camp? That was a lucky find.

  • Omg this is fucking paradise :3

  • This chain used to be rather over-charge happy, but they've come down in price quite a bit.

  • you dont get game store in the uk where i live in the uk kinda sucks, love my old system of which i own but find it hard to get games other than flebay.

  • @hoodnut197 I'm heading up to a store called Retro Station soon and if you're in the midlands area they seem like they're really worth checking out! They guarantee to beat Ebay prices or something like that!

  • @YoshikazuHD ah i live up north but ty for the heads up.

  • hi

  • I wish we had stores like this in the UK

  • @YoshikazuHD Me too man, me too :(
