My definition of racism is a term used to classify the act of hating a particular group of people because of skin color, origin, or religion. and/ or the hatred of another for absoltely no reason except for the fact that they are different. and / or The belief that some races are inherently superior (physically, intellectually, or culturally) to others and therefore have a right to dominate them.

being ethnocentric is one thing- theres is nothin wrong with being proud of ones hertiage. But to believe that your "race" is better in comparison to others is an opinion. when that opinion is used to bring down others, or you believe your race is better because you generalize stereotypes onto other races to control, manipulate, manifest self hatred, fear etc in others that when it becomes a racist act. youre right racism is more than that, its mental it creates issues on a subconscious level.

After all no one person represents the human race or people of a particular color. People have different opinions of what "substance" is. Its true we are all one race- there is only one race and thats human. But the problem there are alot of ppl that still would rather die than be told we are all one race. For some reason they fail to make the comparision which is why race is still an issue even though we should be elevated past it. The woman who posted the orginal I confess: White Girls Need To Stop!! felt very strongly about it to her it was very substanial. which is sad.

By the way, there are actually some whites who would refer to themselves as Jamaican because that's where they were born. Second, the black race is not the original inhabitants in Jamaica. Does that mean that blacks cannot refer to themselves as Jamaican? By the way, I like the way you speak.

thank you i agree with u. if im black and i was born in Ireland i would call myself irish, if i were born in france i would call myself french. im sure there are many white born jamaicans and im alomst postive they rep the colors of their flag proudly, like we do here in the US. that was the main reason i commented on her page. just because she lives in PA, USA now doesnt mean she couldnt have been born someplace else. so how can she tell her to stop not to be proud because shes not black.
