See Paul Weller at gmex around early/mid 90's & he just stood there playing tune after tune for about 2 & half hours series live performer ! loved all his early stuff as a solo artist and loved the jam too must of been a right good vibe seeing bands like the jam the cure joy division the smiths and also floyd and Zep in the early days and other bands of that generation to ! The music from these eras and the acid house period too was a milestone in music culture and revered the world over ! d:o)
@timmis1971: You are so fortunate to have been there!! I got the honor and the pleasure of seeing Paul on his last tour for 22Dreams in Philly. It was life changing! Thanks again, gordywilson, for posting another great PW clip on YT!!
I was at this concert, the day Steve Marriot passed, no video can do it justice, was just amazing. I still remember that when PW opened with Tin Soldier, he said 'this ones for Steve', and somebody at the front shouted, 'Set the House Ablaze'!! Cruel, but extremely funny at the time, don't see that on the film!!
Saw Weller on this tour. The live version was always much better than the one that came out on the first album! This would have been a better Jam track though. And Max Beesley should have stayed in music, rather than making cr*p TV shows!
One of THE all-time great - and soooo sadly, overlooked - soul classics (who knew Jam-era Weller had it in him? "My Ever-Changing Moods" did hint somewhat, I suppose.....)
