One of my favorite SCI-FI films of the 70's (along with Alien, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Moonraker etc). The acting was perfect. D.Sutherland and Brooke Adams were brilliant but I loved Jeff Goldblum and Veronica Cartwright the most - amazing screen couple. I guess this film inspired The Hidden (1987), Body Snatchers (1993), The Arrival (1996), Mimic (1997), The Faculty (1998), The Lake (1998), Slither (2006), The Invasion (2007), tv show Invasion (2005) etc. It deserved a sequel
I totally agree. I first had this crazy crush on him when I saw him in Dirty Dozen and it is unbelievable that there is the same feeling when I see him as Tripp Darling in Dirty Sexy Money after, I think, 41 years!!!. IOTBS of '78 is probably the best sci-fi movie. Some may say Star Wars and Superman, etc, but am too tired of watching too may special effects. I think the simpler movies are the most enduring and memorable ones.
Gosh darn, I know what you mean!! The ol' boy still has that *umph!* Or like when he played in: Kelly's Heroes, as I spotted on your page...Nice to know there's other's out there who feel like me : )
