For my sweeps i take a cymbal i like, clone it and reverse the second one, and align back to back. then use osx3(fl studio) set all three oscillators to static and make a note the length of the cymbal sound wav, then add wet reverb with about 10ms of predelay, Then i make a sound level automation and start at 0 and follow the cruve of cymbals sound pattern to around 80-100. (keep the master 3xosc sound level at about 40-50) then do the samething for the reverse.

@btf4nier (sound level automation is for the static btw) 1:13 is the same way, plus i use dub expander + pingpong the sound.
