Amazing tone and breath control. I remember playing this 10 or so years ago when I was in high school getting ready for college auditions. You have a gift for music and I wish you all the best for your career. :)
@GeoRockMin I agree, the flute is a magical instrument. When I was 17, I taught private lessons to 5th and 6th graders, which was a lot of fun! I got into college as a music major and got very sick my second year and sadly had to stop playing as much. I now have a little boy who is almost 3 and LOVES classical music. I am starting to teach him how to play just on the head joint and he just got his first flute. He can barely say anything, but says to me, "Play flute, mommy!" :)
@GeoRockMin I also wanted to say, keep up the good work and know that you have a rare and amazing gift. I hope my little guy can play that well some day. :)
I am 11 too but i cant play this as well as you! If you have a concert coming up i ws wondering if you could play concerto 1 g major opus 29 by carl stamitz?
How do you find the time to practice three hours a day? I'm a high school student and a saxophone player. I get home at around five o'clock, and between schoolwork and sleeping, I'm lucky if I can get even one hour in. How do you do it?
@adiclm29 Hi, Yah I know it gets really hard in high school. My sisters in high school and she barely has time to practice. I'm still in elementary school so school isn't too hard. It's great you play the sax, it's a really cool instrument!!!
@lebriae Hi, Thanks for watching!!! There aren't regular recitals, it's just if something comes up or if there's a flute event. And yah it's just for fun, it's not something I have to do. --Emma
AMAZING HIGH NOTES! :D i cant read them very well because iv only benn playing for almost a year i am planing to get privet lessons but i know that u will be VERY famous one day because u play so amazing :D
Thank you Emma. I've been listening to your online videos and they are all so lovely. I see you have your age listed (age 11) but you don't say how old Rose is. Wouldn't it be fair to list Rose's age as well? :-)
@ALBERTthepandaa Hi, That's awesome!!! Theres tons of great music, so I think the best thing is to pick something you really like. And also something you know you can play really well. For me Bach is always a great choice. Any of the sonatas are great, and people love to listen!!! Hope that helps!!! Good luck and have fun!!!
You know, the most impressive of Emma's play are not her superior technical skills. It's the way she acts on the stage and carries the audience into a different world, she makes them having emotions, that they have never felt before. And that's what some people have been given, something that you can't practice.
Never heard this piece before, but it definitely is very beautiful! And your playing is, yet again, absolutely amazing. The fact that you're just 11 is mindblowing! Keep it up!
