  • There is a misunderstanding. Myotis is not composed by both Zimmer and Howard. Action soundtracks belong to Zimmer and drama soundtracks to Howard. So Myotis is Hans Zimmer's masterpiece :D

But James Newton Howard is also a great composer too

  • myotis reminds me of that digimon, u know the vampire one

  • 2:23-3:09 kicks ass too :)

  • 2:07 - Agent of Chaos :)

  • I hope 'The Dark Knight Rises' soundtrack will sound more like this.

  • is it just me, or does the Batman Begins soundtrack seem better than The Dark Knights?

  • start at 2:05.

    enough said.

  • I love the part from 2:24 to 2:45. Fucking epic!

  • i can clearly clearly hear Newton Howard's and Zimmer's separate and hugely distinctive styles. A perfect combination!

  • The one dislike was probebly DOCTOR Crane XD

  • @RedBarrr0n Not really. This was the scene where bruce finished his training with Ras Al Gul and then they brought in that prisoner and told him to kill him, but he said that he was no executioner. So Ras Al Gul hated this because his house burned down in this scene.

  • @RedBarrr0n or ras al ghul ;D

  • Why're all the titles so strange?

  • @Edgehead178 They're named after different species of bat, also if you look at the first letters of the names of tracks 4-9 they spell out BATMAN

  • @stealthunter14 THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH FOR EXPLAINING THAT!!!!!!! I was so weirded out by the titles. Whew..

  • @Edgehead178 .... strange lol it is the latin names of genera (groups) of bats. Myotis being a very large genus lends its name to an epic song. :)

  • CP band kids unite!

  • my highschool is playing this as part of our marching band show this year :D

  • @FlyingPeskyPandas you go to college park?

  • @SWEETDEE415 Haha yea, its Stefan :D

  • esta sale en la sexta jjajja era ka ke buscaba asias

  • Just because the Joker will not be in the next one there is no reason why it can't be a great movie. As great as Heath Ledger was, he did not make the series. Batman Begins, before The Dark Knight, was the best Batman movie ever. Batman 3 (July 20th, 2012) should be just as good or nearly as good as the others, never ever ever bet against Christopher Nolan, he will make it a great movie.

  • @SergeantJonny im srry but imma have 2 call bullshit on tht bcus The Dark Knight Was 1000000000 times better than batman begins heath ledger was the best character in the whole series of batman old and new the joker shud nvr be put in another batman by nolan ever in history bcus he just gonna b well not as good as TDK Joker

  • @TheDMD42396 Batman Begins and TDK are completely different, you can't really say one is "1000000000 times better" than the other. BB is all about how Batman started, TDK is just as much about the Joker as it is about Batman. Why was TDK so good? A great storyline and great action. The Joker did not make the movie, I thought Aaron Eckhart did a great job as Two Face as well. Would Heath have been Joker without Christopher Nolan? Definitely not! Nolan brought the series back.

  • @SergeantJonny yeah u can say tht bb was jsut another comic movie to me but more serious it was iight but TDK was a masterpiece the perfect batman movie it cant b touched

  • @TheDMD42396 I agree TDK will go down as the best super hero movie of all time, and in my opinion, one of the best movies of all time. But in my opinion, Batman Begins was much more than a just a comic book movie. If you compare BB to Spider-man 1, the first Hulk movie, Wolverine 1, Iron Man 1, or any of the Super Man movies, Batman Begins blows them away.

  • jhonny depp as the riddler and philip seymour hoffman as the penguin

  • @Akuk1000 I'd go for something more original like casting an actual penguin as the penguin.

  • I think the next batman movie will be on 2011

  • I hope early 2011 :(

  • @MANTASTICmonday and @d23t i hope not they just started writing the script and it will suck if they rush it

  • part of this excellent track was used in the delicious trailer for the delectable treat

    "Hannibal Rising."

  • @ StevieGG08

i wouldnt worry about it. It's Nolan, he's one of the best. There's definitly gonna be a third batman movie, but probably not for another two years. You just have to be patient.

  • there is gonna be a third Batman film. The script is currently being written by David Goyer (who wrote "Batman Begins" & the story for "The Dark Knight" and is currently writing the script for a new Superman movie) and Jonathan Nolan.

  • Amazing piece.

  • Love this music, really gets my heart jumping.

  • This movie is so great, the director/screenwriter Nolan is perfect, and this music EXTREMLY cool

  • I'm really afraid that there won't be any Batman 3....Nolan is showing too much indifference towards the film...maybe he doesn't have any ideas for a script and a story that could be as good as The Dark Knight.....I think that Heath's death shattered all Nolan's plans because he wanted to recast him so much....the only replacement would be Johnny Depp...he's the only one who could the nearest to Heath's performance.....I HOPE THAT THERE WILL BE A BATMAN 3!

  • I think That Black Mask would be a good villian for the next one....

  • cant seem to find this bit of music when liam character dies in bb in the train and when joker is thrown off from the building,

  • the track is call "we are tonight's entertainment"

  • 2:07 - 3:53 is just FREAKIN EPIC!!!

Hans Zimmer and James Newton howard are two of the best composers in movie history!!!

  • Agreed!

  • hope there is no more joker, Heath did it perfectly, but they could show a little flashback or off scene moment saying he is in arkham asylum or that he died or something a really good excuse for him not to be in the future films, and the riddler definetely, hope Johnny Depth accepts the role.

    RIP Heath Ledger.

  • I feel you, it would be a good way to respect the work that Ledger did. But there is talks of Harly Quin though, but I dont think she fits the dark tone of nolan's take of the batman serries,

  • yeah Harlye doesnt fit by herslef only with the joker. but, they could show like a little reference to her or if they do a batman 3 show her like at the final scene being interrogated or something, revealing a plot for the next films (if any)

  • Musical Genuises!

  • the part from 3:14 till 3:27 is the best piece of soundtrack I ever heard... and I heard quite a lot. The whole score is great, of course, but this part has something really special, I dunno... Lol

Talkin' Batman 3 villains... Riddler, Ra's al Ghul and Black Mask in a minor role, please =) and some Joker references.

  • Pleasee ras al gulh for next films, remember he's inmortal.

  • not in this continuety, its just a parlor trick according to bruce wayne, but I would like to see Ras Al Guhl as well, but remember he has a daughter Talia Al Guhl

  • Nomore joker. let hollywood leave it as a great performance from the late Heath Ledger. I want to see Misterr Freeze, Penguin or Poison Ivy. Riddler played great by Jim Carey, has to many similarities with Heath's Joker.

  • Great, some words from the wise. I don't want another joker, but it DO want the next villan to be as good, if not almost as good as ledgers to prove the whole series was great, and not just ledger.

    Still, RIP.

  • The 3rd Batman movie villain should definitely be the Riddler maybe played by Crispin Glover, then again he could play joker too, idk im confused now

  • the ventriliquist was a guy who controlled a dummy named scarface. they both went nuts and shot a lotta shiz

  • They may do what they did with katie holmes' charachter, or more likely, introduce a diffrerent villian like the ventriliquist.

  • Never heard of the ventriliquist before, who is he?

  • i wonder who will play the joker in the next films? R.I.P heath

  • What makes you think joker will be in next one, personally i would like it if nolan moves on from the joker. It would show that the whole franchise has potential, not just heath. I don't mean any disrespect, RIP heath and a great job on the joker.

  • @iainmacdo i believe if they make another film (which they will), the best choice of villan would be an influencee of the joker, like say the riddler or harley quinn. plus rachel's dead, so we need a new love interest, (*cough* catwoman *cough*).

  • @moviemaster8510 No! No more love interests as it becomes as bad as the original films where Bruce had a different love interest in every film.

  • @iainmacdo I agree, I believe Christopher Nolan will move on for 2 reasons

    1. Seeing someone else portray the joker would be mediocre and pointless

    2. Heath did portay him as an awesome villian, but audiences want more than ONE great villian.

  • I actually heard a rumor that their going to have the Joker be such an influence before he got locked up in The Dark Knight, that he had a group of troubled teens imitate him...like a Joker cult.

  • I believe that they will make a brief CG version of him (if any) just to show what has become of him!

  • LoL such a step up from danananaBATMAANNN

  • the loud drums from 3:36 to 3:53 gives me chills

  • Are all of these songs titled after genera of bats?

    Lol...

    =D

  • Yeah, I think so. It's pretty freaking awesome ^_^

  • At about 3:00 minutes you can hear the Harvey Dent theme they used in the second movie. Interesting to see it show up in the first score, and how they used it as a theme in the Dark Knight.

  • Whoa! I just heard that. And it pops back up around 4:04 in a much slower pace. Good Job.

  • I hope in the 3th Batman movie, riddler and catwomen, and the pingvin will be good.

  • that all depends on whos directing if nolan is directing penguin wont be in it and i heard that johnny depp will b the riddler if nolan will direct

  • Actually, that's just a rumor. JD hasn't even been asked to play the Riddler... yet |D

He should definitely say yes, though, once he gets asked for the role!

  • Definitely won't be any Penguin... Nolan is going for villains that can be realistically placed in this more realistic version of Batman.

Look who he's chosen so far? Joker? Scare Crow? All easily doable in real life if you're the right kind of nut job.

  • Harley quinn could be in it! The joker was. Catwoman could be as well, seeing as she's similar in some ways to batman himself.

  • Riddler is next I think.

  • yeah, next is gonna be riddler and phantasm,,

  • Those make sense, and Catwoman could definitely be in it.

  • originally the plan probibly would have been bringing back the Joker part way into the next film and having the phantasm throughout the film. Thats how it was in the animated batman. But now with Ledger not around to do the Joker again, I thinking the riddler and the Phantasm.

  • Or it could be scarecrow, it already is so far.

  • i think scarecrow need bigger role, the Penguin is doable: he isn't exactly half-penguin half-man lol, Two-Face was good, wayyy better than Batman-Forever but he is dead, Joker not reapearing so Harley Quinn not possible, CatWoman, Riddler, Mr-Freeze are NO NO because i think their onscreen versions were awesome no matter what people say. Though Riddler is doable again, what Joker does in Dark-Knight was exactly what the Riddler is like so if they have riddler he will look unoriginal :(

  • Does anyone remember harley quinn though? She would be perfect, i can imagine someone like Helena Boneham Carter playing her.

  • I think Helena Bonham Carter as Harley Quinn

  • I fully support that opinion.

  • OMG!!! that is sooo true! and just like Harley Quinn she can be hot and scary at the same time lol

  • When the song picks up at 2:00-ish is some of the best work I've heard on any soundtrack.

  • i never said "realistic joker" was better than comic joker i don't have a favorite between the two and i have seen sin city and i thought the dark knight was by far better but everyone is to there own opinion.

  • i don't see how comics joker is somehow better or different than realistic joker. maybe he does things different, he doesn't have joker venom or bleached skin. but the heart of the character is still there; the insanity, the personification of the id and the irrational, Heath captures it perfectly.

and sin city was basically a shot for shot remake of the book. maybe that's your shtick but i could just read sin city and get the same thing.

  • edcuce: read a batman comics with joker and you will know Heath ledger and comics joker is not the same. dont say heath is the best because you have never read a comics. And the comics is always better than the movie.

  • the joker in the dark knight wasn't suppose to be like the joker in the comics. Chris Nolan wanted a more "realistic joker" and heath re-created the character brilliantly, the joker was still as crazy as ever but he wasn't over the top or artsy fartsy and child like and i think this movie proves that the comics aren't always better than the movies

  • comics > movie = opinion

  • yes mollossus and myotis is in the trailer. But I think Heath Ledger wasn't a good Joker. He was never laughing or smiling. He was not enough crazy. And in comics Joker looks much better. this is my opinion.

  • i don't want to be mean but... are you on crack cabron? Heath is a great Joker!! a frigging psycho with sense of humor!

  • What do you mean he wasn't enough crazy? He pretty brutally murders people throughout the film and forces people to make horrible ethical decisions. but the darkly humorous little nuances are still there.

He laughs throughout the film. and in case you didn't remember, he has a smile literally carved on his face, no need for extra effort 8)

and comics joker may "look better," that's your opinion. I think white grease paint works fine.

  • What?! Heath Ledger's Joker is far more chaotic, deadly than the comics version. Plus there are certain points that make you laugh *cough* pencil *cough* and after you laugh you feel sick for doing so. He made the Joker my second favourite villain ever.

  • watchmen made ozymandias my first

  • "I did it!"

  • this music is in the V for Vendetta trailer. ^^

  • I saw it as well! Both are fantastic movies. And wasn't Mollossus in it too? V and the Joker seems very much alike, but in different perspectives. It's chasracters like them that make such a great film.

  • This was on the Dark Knight Sneek Peek "trailer", wasn't it?

  • not exactly
