A bike helmet would not have prevented a collision. Riding properly, on the street as a vehicle, as the law requires, would have.

Even for people under 16, a helmet would not have prevented the collision depicted in the video. All cyclists, even young ones, are safest when riding on the streets and following the rules for vehicles.
