Thank you for the video. I'm having my right elbow repaired in a few weeks for a large olecranon spur-and possible triceps insertion repair. My distal triceps tendon appears calcified on X ray, so I may need the insertion revised. I'm at 20 to 25 degrees flexed at full extension, having lost 10 or 12 degrees the past few years.

I'm sorry - I am not aware of specific surgeons in the UK, but I am certain there is several there performing advanced elbow arthroscopy. You may check in bigger cities for an orthopedic surgeon specializing in arthroscopy or elbow surgery.

In my experience, elbow arthritis is remarkably well tolerated by patients if you remove the loose bodies and bone spurs that are causing most of the pain (unlike the knee, for example). I would say that this procedure lasts indefinitely (I have yet to recommend an elbow replacement for any of the patients I've performed this on in 11 years of practice). Of course, there are some patients whose arthritis was so severe that I did not recommend this procedure initially.

Can you please tell me how long does this operation last for , in other words I need my elbows straightening and my doctor told me that after this operation I would need a full elbow replacement in maybe a few short years, watching your video I get the impression this is a cure, any contribution will be much appreciated, thank you.
