I feel sad for Koko. The lady is being nice to Koko I know that but this research has been going on for so long. I think that Koko should be given more freedom. She deserves it after all these years of being watched and studied.
i love the fact she has on the lab coat at all times. that clearly shows beyond a shadow of a doubt she is in fact 'doing science'. i appreciate what she's trying to do but it looks like objectivity went out the window,
she says '" she (koko) should be treated as individual and as human , and treating her another way is cruel " and she slaped koko twice in this video ....... that is cruel i guess
Thank you so much for posting this. I'd never seen this documentary before, and in many ways, it's superior to the documentaries I have seen. The long uncut shots of Koko really give the viewer a good idea of what her behavior was like during adolesence. It also does a good job of showing the relationship between Penny and Koko. Thanks again for posting!
