  • What strength to hold him and let Ivankin wear himself out. Brzenk!!!

  • Jebany! Nie bez kozery jest legendą armwrestlingu

  • tara only has one move, thats it

  • I wanna see how strong these guys are if they didnt use their body and only used their forearms and biceps and wrist

  • Wow, just wow. The loser is a juice head of course.

  • don't sweat the technique

  • john brzenk a true legend in armwrestling

  • what a strenght lol

  • This is the most incredible armwrestle i have even seen. What an amazing display of power !

  • hmm.. if he didn't use too much power on this, he could have beaten veovoda..

  • @thefanaticx No he couldn't have john was 198lbs while voevoda was over 280 almost 300lbs

  • @nawzy202 Lol! you sound like you don't even know John Brzenk.. he's even beaten a 660 pound guy once.. weight doesn't matter, its skill and strength.. though matches like this can take quite a toll..

  • @nawzy202 BRZNECK BEATED CLEAVE DEAN WHO WAS MORE THAN 350 POUNDS DUDE,WEIGHT IS NOT THE ISSUE.

VOEVODA IS THE BEST ARWRESTLER EVER EXISTED,THAT IS OPINIONABLE TOO BUT HE IS EXTREMELY STRONG AND TECHNICAL.NOT BECAUSE IT IS BIGGER

  • @masterpatric07 cleave dean was natural monster where he didn't even train half of what john and voevoda did. Second john was in his 20s where his tendons ware much healthier he is in his almost 50s now. Voevoda was a natural strong man which he trained his ass off to beat john. Im sorry but people will never accept voevoda victory over john at 200lbs. People want to see big healthy voevoda vs big healthy john

  • @nawzy202 VOEVODA was stronger and he knows every secret of pulling.he didn't need years of experience.he was undefeated from 2000 till 2004 when lost to baggent, in a surprise.then HE TOOK REVENGE AT NEMIROFF BEATING THE SHIT OF BOTH,BAGGENTt AND JOHN

  • @masterpatric07 you forgot to mention bagent beat the crap out of voevoda left hand. As i said before he beat tiny skinny john. john wanted a rematch in 05 or 06 i believe and it never happened sadly. Voevoda is not the strongest in the world why? because Devon beat alot more people that voevoda did. And these ware best in the world.John even devon said john was injured Bagent,Richard,Tim,Randal, bath all the best so he is considered the strongest not voevoda

  • @nawzy202 they did get a rematch in a not so well coveraged occassion.. just once.. John still lost

  • @nawzy202

john himself said voevoda is the strongest arm wrestler he ever faced so that shut all opinions nuff said!!!

  • now thats strength he came back from almost getting defeated hes the best

  • How is John with his left arm? Cause it looks pretty small..

  • Very good and getting better. He has wins on Travis left handed and is currently ranked #1 in the World left handed at 95kg / 209 lbs.

  • Wow did I see John takes a couple chews of his gum before taking the guy out

  • this is just impossible......only john can do this......

  • That is some scarey shit. The strength it took to come back from such a disadvantage and then pin the guys arm is incredible.

  • John is quiet slim here

  • Brzenk looks quiet slim here...has he been ill before this event?

  • @993turbo

This was around the time when John was experiencing problems with his elbow and was considering retirement, the filming of the documentary Pulling John was what motivated him to train for this tournament, but had he started sooner and without the elbow problems he'd be closer to his peak weight.

  • see its not all about muscle

  • @dancalvin1983 john is incredibly strong. he only needs to use technique if he is outweighed by 40 pounds or more

  • nice man i watched over the top and i saw him win a mtach and i saw some of his videos of him arm wrestling and wow is he a legend

  • @RedRibjaw9000

Stallone plays in "Over the top" John Brzenk. The film shows a armwrestling tournament which John had won (in reality). Brzenk ist the best armwrestler of all time. His techniques and tactics are written with golden letters in worldwide armwrestling history.

  • @istanbulluyum34 i know :D

  • Holy fucking shit, how did he get it up again? When you get down like that you are considered as "beaten" already i think ;) Awesome!

  • holy s*** im not really in armwrestling..but that was just amazing!

  • ezt nem hiszem a sírbol hozta vissza :O

  • That's amazing!

Being able to lock like that takes awesome muscle control

and years of very specific training.

  • @laSKJDFNA he is not the greatest for nothing

  • just amazing

  • brezenk is LEGEND

  • Brzenk is unhuman. Unfortunately he's washed up now, I nearly cried seeing him going 0-6 against Devon.

  • I wouldn't give up on him just yet.

  • lol waying he is washed up its not the right words i would use john is older yes but do u know that john was injured when he went against devon? do u know that he wasnt at his strongest weight? just watch when he comes back

  • to me its crazy how john held taras even though his hand was completly flat, had no wrist postion, anyone who armwrestles can apreciate that power.

  • o_O that's so crazy, very good in defense and amazing in attack

  • amazing he was hanging on his arm and he managed to pull his arm up from that low angle and defeat him

  • thts the technique...when one is pushing hard just hold on n let him finish his energy n then use ur saved energy with full force n u will win the game....if power is given by both sides then there is no use of tht...both players will be tired in this way...

  • True But must be be hard to hold it from that low position

  • yes its hard...but still its defensive position...n i think it involves more technique than power forced by the one who is on attack. plus wrist also plays n important part on this angle..if u turn ur wrist little bit down then its harder for attacker to beat u easily...unless there is a big power diff. between both players...

  • I agree with that to an extent...but strength is very very important in arm wrestling You can only carry out techniques if you hve the power to ...If u hav all the techniques in ur head but no strength u will never be able to perform them...I agree this man's wrist is powerful it plays a big role...but also his back and shoulder muscles for being able to keep his forearm up like that..with that attackers full body weight behind it

  • Of course man...power is the first thing needed for such suport...all the techniques come later on....

  • respect for both playesr real fight...

  • taras is crazy strong

  • ..... very strong, amazing ....

  • I cant believe you guys see Taras loose like this and pretty much make fun of him. These matches make me like Taras even more because of how hard he try's in all of his matches.

  • no screaming no yelling no attitude.

All composure and power with great technique.

    John=THE BEST

  • wow...thats some tendon strength i totally thought taras had john, but johns experience just came through...absolutely awesome.

  • krasavchik!

  • Brzenk is the man!

  • 1:53 check out john's right arm compared to his left!! That's crazy!

  • Yeah i saw that to and looked on wiki, right:16 inches, left:13.5 inches.

  • Whoever that other guy was, he got fucking owned. Big time. John shredded his ass no problem.

  • Super !!!

  • strongest!!!

  • Epic comeback!

  • Brzenk pound for pound best in the world

  • what a comeback...raw power..

  • I too had the pleasure of watching Brzenk in Florence Oregon Sat. night. I moved here a year ago and have always enjoyed armwrestling. I had NO IDEA Brzenk was going to be there. Man... what a pleasure to watch the best. I remembered him from over 20 yrs ago in the Over The Top movie and watching him recently on ESPN coverage. He signed a shirt for my wife with a smile and kind words and is truly a class act. Felt like a kid seeing his hero. Oh yeah, he smoked everybody, about 10 guys in a row.

  • Just saw him perform here last night in little Florence, Oregon at the championships. He beat about 7 or 8 guys(I lost count)to win his class. What a neat guy. Was signing autograph on t-shirts for free. He is about as focused on his craft as anyone I have ever seen.

  • unbelievable strength I love watching him hold his arm 2 inches from the pad for like 10seconds and then just slowly forcing it back over for the win :)

  • Shit, i remember John Brzenk from the 80s. He was called The golden boy or something. He won the real world champampion ship that the movie Over the top is about. How old is mr John Brzenk today? Is he still high up in overall rankings?

  • he is rank #1 i beleive in the world

  • LOL I hope your not talking to me..I was just stating who has some impressive size...of course it doesn't make a difference..look at Klimenko, he has 17 inch arms but is one of the best in the world....but you can't deny that factors like hand size make a difference

  • Ivakin has a really strong toprole but he cant apply enough sidepressure, thats why he is chanceless against brzenk.

  • no. he is chanceless against brzenk because brzenk have an extreamlly large and powerful forearm. if i am correct he's got 16 inch forearm. because of that he can easilly toproll everyone (except voevoda)....

  • TopRoll???? No John is all about the hook

  • no. he is chanceless against brzenk because brzenk have an extreamlly large and powerful forearm. if i am correct he's got 16 inch forearm. because of that he can easilly toproll everyone (except voevoda)....

  • arzudada is right. Brzenk is known for great side pressure. It is clear that ivakin pulled brzenks arm away with backpressure, but failed to apply enough side pressure. B/c brzenk is good at this, ivakin failed to win overall.

  • if you went by size, Ivakin is the better puller, his upper arm, hand width, finger length and forearm length and thickness are all bigger than brzenk..

  • havent you learned the arm size when comparing different individuals means nothing. Allen fisher has put down many guys much bigger than he was. Don'd forget muscle is only one factor. How the muscle sarcomeres are arranged, how dense the muscle is, mitochondrial density, oxidative capacity, and tendon strength are other factors, so be quiet.

  • very well said :)

  • brzenk brzmi Jak polskie nazwisko

  • Brzenk looked like could've drank an espresso while Ivankim struggled.

  • Ivakin sucks, he always loses.........

  • Ivakin is a very good puller, its just that he's going against the top guys all the time.

  • brzenk is the best comeback armwrestler ever without a doubt

  • Those two are in top 10 in the world,Brzenk is first

  • OMFG DID YOU SEE FEDOR AT THE END!!!

  • Insane ! To hold back Ivakin in that position and than win ! Insane insane !

    Brzenk, 100% natural power !

  • no, it's 100% technique, there are stronger armwrestlers, but still, he's one of the best

  • 100 percent technique? No, the hook uses the bicep MUSCLE and the toproll uses mainly the brachioradialis MUSCLE. So strength is therefore the key factor. Technique has its basis in strength.

  • .. Are jo kiddin me? Does it look like Brzenk got any kind of advantage in that match? People who knows him says that he exercises with 102kg in "armwrestling-curl", dont come here yellin its all about technique. Btw I`m nordic champ in armwrestling, both junior and senior 70kg

  • you cant apply technique withouit the strength

  • Thats correct

  • why is that bitch standing in ma fucking way

  • wow john brzenk must do mad table curls!

  • O CARA É BOM MESMO PARABÉNS

  • JB on the best !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow wat a comeback!

  • this guy is really great, the other dude tries to rip his arm off by putting all his weight into it and john Brzenk just comes back !!

  • That's not "putting all his weight" actually it's a technic, that some try to turn entire arm by turning entire body...

  • O_O genius John! how you win?

  • must have some admentium in his arm :O

A normal person probably would have *snapped* :)
