  • back in FIFA 08 i hear this song

  • This is seriously the most underrated song I have ever heard. 135,000 views? I posted a video about cats and dogs here on Youtube about 4 years ago, and it passed 150,000 in no time. The hell man?

  • Best inspiration song ever. Btw, the only part I can't figure out is Simpson on the Mountain. Will someone tell me what he did?

  • 7 people couldnt answer the 10 count

  • Opening for Noel Gallagher on the US tour?

  • this song is so beautiful and influential. It made me get back up when the world keeps putting me down.

  • REMINDS ME OF FIFA 08 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • like homer simpson on the Murderhorn!

  • Finally, fuckin lyrics that have meaning and weight

  • putos anuncios de mierda

  • saw it on a bodyboarding clip.... EPIC!

  • who is the adams they refer to?

  • @fifafan626 The lyric is actually "Adams in the dock." It refers to Tony Adams, a soccer player for Arsenal who did a stretch in prison for crashing his car during a battle with alcoholism. "Dock" is slang for prison. He later went on to become a very successful team manager.

  • @divisionst06 Yes, his spell at Portsmouth was wildly successful.

  • Found out about this song because of a Nike commercial and I'm so glad I saw that commercial cause this is music right here people.

  • You guys should tour with "The Hoosiers". That would be a great show. I'm not on kidney dialysis but I could use a liver,..j/k...off you go.

  • And people bitch about how there's no good music anymore....

  • @ReverieAvenue After the 90's I mean.

  • The new Smashing Pumpkins?

  • 5 people didn't overcome like ali in the jungle

  • why isn't this band more popular?

  • Comment removed

  • wow.

    .....

    WOW.

    bneautiful animation <3

  • Five people got knocked down and didn't get up.

  • @NutsoJohn hahahaahahahahhahahahahahahaha

  • 0:00 ... naw add

  • Like Ludvig Van, how I love that man.

Well the guy went deaf didn't give a fuck! no

  • When you have chronic depression like I did, how are you going to get back up?

  • @JackTheWallabee

thats the point of this song.....if these guys did it, so can you, im sure you don't have it worse than hellen keller... so get up or go listen to morrissey and embrace the sorrow

  • @foss000011 Did you know Helen Keller was a Communist?

  • @BartholomewCounty: I wonder why someone who was deaf and blind would subscribe to a philosophy that called for cooperation and sharing? Helen Keller was obviously plotting some sort of toppling of our capitalist system ..... can't believe she wasn't jailed for that.

  • @JackTheWallabee You said you had chronic depression. So you ended up getting back up. You figure it out you tackle those problems and figure out what depresses you. You fulfill your needs. You find the way to get out and you start working on it. Keep hope. I know it is harder to do but to those that do they are the strong ones and the successful ones.

  • Amazing.

  • every time i feel dragged down in life, i play this song. it never fails to pick me back up.

  • @prez2306 I know how you feel man, it's powerful

  • @23Shinin23: Did you mean ReFormulated? Cause if so I would have to agree...and thanks bro!

  • I suggest you guys listen to the ReFormated version of this song... Pretty beast.

  • I like the damn one better... Anybody know where I can get this version?

  • song's awesome skull looked weird but still awesome song

  • the nike commercial was wack. they shoulda chose boxing for it, not mma. if you get knocked down in mma you cant get up all slowly and dramatically, they would get on your ass and finish you.

  • gonna use this as my theme song from now on!

  • yes heard it from the Nike commercial and i finally found the song!!!!!!!

  • other video is a little better

  • Simpson: Joe Simpson, Touching The Void. An incredible story of survival.

  • ‎"I know what's within me, even if you can't see it yet."

  • This song should have more recognition.

  • IT'S THE GREATEST COMEBACK SINCE LAZARUS!!!!!

HOW QUICK ARE YOU GONNA GET UP?

  • I love this video. Like Simpson in the mountain? lol

  • @naturiafreak94 I thought he was talking about Homer Simpson attempting to jump the Springfield Gorge, but that defeats the purpose of the song...

  • this is my wrestling song!!!

  • Never give in.

  • cool

  • dear dickies cut the crap

  • when did 15 seconds of fame become 5 seconds?

  • Beautiful track and video. This song can really make life seem promising and hopeful. Love it!

  • First time I heard this was on the FIFA 08 soundtrack. EA always puts a couple songs on FIFA soundtracks that are great but undiscovered and some become big hits.

  • Amazing song.

  • Underrated!

  • the greatest comeback part at the end is fairly annoying. just being honest. good song otherwise

  • @nicknkub in the other version its much better

  • YES WE CAN

  • its awesome in the gatorade commercial

  • @AZKISSfan99 its not in the gatorade commercial the song is evolve by kermitt quinn also an amazing song tho

  • the best

  • I really like this song. :)

  • i heard this on loaded longboards channel XD sick song!!!

  • @morsa575 i agree its a cool song about life then he goes of and says FUCK! and ur like come on u gotta use that?!

  • @180darky Yeah if you're five or some ones mommy.

  • and i thought franz ferdinand's 'take me out' music video was strange!

but i really like the song lol

  • Nike stole this song from FIFA 2008...if you like this song check out FIFA 2008 soundtrack, its awesome...they have a lot of songs that are really good from unknown groups

  • @omegaqdd You can't "steal" a song if the band gives permission to use the song in the commercial.

  • @dub6666 lol ur absolutely rite!

  • They really like skulls don't they? Awesome song though.

  • this is my running song... get tired and hit this and keep goin. awesome video, so much creativity. mad props to the creators, as well as the band.

  • I would of neva known about this song but yet again Nike was There THNX NIKE

  • all the dance parts are really good

  • this commercial and the gatorade one are just FUCKING EPIC!!!

  • i also think it sounds a little better with 'damn' instead of fuck. Fits the rhythm and sound considerations of that lyric very nicely.

  • I just love this song so damn much.

  • the real version says fuck instead of damn., .. where's the fuck at

  • @tunegrl Not every song needs a cuss word in it, for it to be great.

  • @dub6666 no shit . did i say that?? nope, i didnt. my comment was only to share a little bit of info about the original version. ppl like you take things way too literal. your life must be a tad but rough sorry.

  • The greatest comeback since lazarth is the return of jesus.

Muhamod ali was bound to fail against george Foreman, "rumble in the jungle".

Nelson in jail is the south African presitant put in jail for "thinking to over throw the gov." Simpson on the mountain had to go threw at lot of mout. that were very hard.

    Helen Keller.

Adams in the dock means Adams in jail an aresnal deffender and got his life together.

And ludwig bettoven. (SORRY ABOUT ALL MISSPELLED WORDS AND NAMES

  • sick video! i absolutely love the beethoven lyric

  • fuck you vevo

  • beyond incredible. the video is eerily magical and true, love the hours especially this song!

    "like Keller in the darkness"

  • I like when it's "Like Ludwig Van, how I love that man, well the guy went deaf and didn't give a fuck, no" better

  • @metrostrikers02 you said that all wrong jackass

  • @DanBonRP No I didn't. Would you like to explain your idiocrity or should I just accept that you don't know what you're talking about?

  • Epic-and-inspirational-song-about-Muhammad-Ali-and-other-significant-people-who-overcame-impossible-odds-FTW!

  • cool

  • Saw this vid first on mtvU. I haven't cried upon hearing a new song in a long long while. Invigorating, intoxicating and clarifying. How quick are you gonna get up?

  • i absolutely adore this music video

  • This song makes me feel like I can do anything haha.

  • I feel this song is so motivational...

  • good song cheers me up every time :)

  • I heard this song in pac sun. :P

  • nice song goosebumps lol

  • OMG love dis song!! Haha.. i heard it on that sports commercial ;) HOW QUICK R U GUNNA GET UP!?! lol....

  • @PattyCarnage91 I'm guessing you haven't seen Diego Sanchez and Clay Guida go at it. Both on there feet and on the ground.

  • Who cares about Floyd Mayweather or Manny Pacquiao? Pacquiao may get knocked down, he may not, this video illustrates that when you do get knocked down, just get back up. Muhammed Ali was knocked down, but he got right back up, and he kept at it until he won three Heavyweight Championships, whatever happens, just get back up.

  • i love this video!! and the song is amazing!

  • definitly means a lot to me... shows me no matter what jersey i wear in any sport its all in my heart

  • Manny Pacquiao doesn't get knocked down so this song wouldn't really apply would it?

  • He will when my boy money mayweather gets in the ring ;)

  • @PattyCarnage91

Ya but whose going to punch pacquiao on the mat

  • what version of the song is the i cant find it anywhere

  • Comment removed

  • "It's not how you start, but how you finish"

  • Definitely the best commercial Nike has came out with since the Team USA Marvin Gaye video. Awesome! I had a rough two years but songs like this keep me going

  • basically the theme song to my life!!

  • @panchomiao Are you Muhammad Ali?

  • Love the song and like the vid even more.

  • I love this song. Man, it's so awesome. Now, this is music!

  • the new nike commercial is one i actually like and mostly because of this ridiculously impressive song

  • this song is so sick in the Nike commercial.

  • @WVUkswish The were they fell right?

  • It's also used with a guy being in jail.

Adams did go to jail for drunk driving but turned his life around and came back to be one of the greats

  • 'dock' is a brit slang term for being out of action and is often used with soccer players.

  • 'Adams' is Tony Adams the former Arsenal defender who got over his drinking and legal problems and started up an organization to help other young fellas with similar demons

  • "Adams in the dock" not dark!

    Fracis Adams a writer

  • the greatest comeback since lazarus. great lyric right there

  • @redsox1002003

I like that one too ;-)

  • Comment removed

  • No it Helen Keller who was blind AND deaf and Adams at the tea party

  • I think by "in the dark" they mean Sam and his political policy which ended up getting him shunned, or quincy who's election meant nothing with Jackson supporters in congress

  • @BoboConan Why would Samuel Adams be shown kicking a skull?

  • @Vidar378 maybe it has something to do with his divorce (skeleton in the closet)

  • @BoboConan It's not Samuel Adams, it's Tony Adams, an Arsenal Football (as in soccer) player, Tony founded a charity because he a lot of problems such as drug addiction and alcoholism, thus the saying "Like Adams in the dark."

  • "In the dock" can be used to refer to being on trial. Given the context in the video (a skeleton kicking a skull), my guess is that the line is referring to the arrest and subsequent jailing of soccer player Tony Adams following a alcohol related car accident.

  • Also i'm pretty sure the lyric is "in the dark".

It just sound like dock because of their accent. So in the dark would reference how he couldn't see what a huge problem his alcholism was.

Also, i highly doubt that an English band would be referencing American history. Esp. since Sam Adams really wasn't known to be involved in the Boston tea party.

  • @AdamsKid93 But he was know to be a leader in the sons of liberty, the group who actually was involved in the boston tea party

  • Comment removed

  • @Vidar378 I'm sure it's in the dark

  • i love this song and all of it's symbolism!! haha if that's what you can even call it!

  • yessah this song is da bomb!

  • This song is so freakin' inspiring!

  • its talking about the "rumble in the jungle" Ali fought george foreman in the jungles of africa promoted by Don king

  • ill listen to music without having to see a commercial next time thanks.

  • My new favorite song.

  • It says Adams in The DOCKS...referring to Samuel Adams in the tea party

    not tony adams

  • @donovan2010c why would it show a skeleton kicking a ball if it meant sam adams? its clearly tony adams

  • @jimmyboy14432 but the lyrics say adams in the dock.......why would tony adams be on dock?

  • yea idk, maybe its a term for something

  • @jimmyboy14432 you know how it says Ali in the jungle? Muhammad Ali wasnt really in a jungle, it was just the name of one of his fights. so maybe "the docks" has something to do with one of tony adams match.

(idk, i mean i personally think its samuel adams)

  • it's pretty obvious adam is the football player that got caught drunk driving. in the music video shows a skeleton kicking the ball

  • what I'm wondering about though is I don't think Ali was knocked down during the Rumble in the Jungle. Joe Frazier was the one who knocked him down, not George Foreman. Ali in the Jungle was just Ali sitting back in the ropes while Foreman overexerted himself, then Ali finished him off.

  • I think I remember Will Smith going down once?

  • I think it's more about how he was suspended and then lost to joe frazier, but then came back as an underdog and regained the heavyweight championship.

  • Ali was in his early 30s when he fought Foreman so, he was definitely an underdog. So with that said, it lends itself to the message

  • goddamn this shit go so fuckin hard at the beginning.... this shit is throwed and i dont pretty much jamm to this type of stuff but these dudes went off on this hoe

  • lol.

  • I heard this song from the nike commercial, good song.

  • Yeah, me too! Nice to see them using good music on commercials!

  • rly stfu

  • Anyone know the "Adams in the dark" reference?

  • Comment removed

  • i means Adams in the dark.... jackass

  • I LUV THIS SONG!!!

  • its a symbolic song...saying that people have bounced back from low points in their lives to become great. nelson mandela in jail, hellen keller in the dark...and etc.

  • fucking greatest song eva

  • I'm not sure exactly what he says but around 1:15 he says something about "nelson in jail", can someone explain what hes referring to? thank you in advance.

  • Nelson Mandela

  • "Like ali in the jungle, like nelson in jail"

  • nelson mandela in jail in south africa during the apartheid

  • This is a great song!!!!!

I love the nike commercial too.

  • sweet pump up song. nike made it

  • @muddogs11 no nike didnt make it they just used it for their video..

  • no shit moron im saying nike made it big

  • meh..

  • wierd music video but beautiful and inspiring song no doubt.

  • What does adams on the dock and simpson on the mountain mean?

  • Sam Adams at the Boston tea party, and Joe Simpson was a mountain climber who fell. His partner assumed he was dead and left him, and after three days of crawling back to his base camp Joe Simpson survived hypothermia and dehydration

  • but they're saying IN the dock/dark which could refer to the writer or the soccer player who got busted for drunk driving.

  • yeah i heard talk about the soccer player. and also in the video the person kicks a soccer ball when they say "adams". i just dont really think its him because he's not that famous

  • @TurtleOnItsBack yeah but the band is british and it was big news their so maybe

  • I think it might be about Tony Adams.
