Robyn is a master. No doubt. The music he made with the Egyptians was the best imo. Lett`s face it. Queen Elvis is his greatest work and it is out of print. Does anyone else agree?
Love the man & his suit! This song should have opened the doors, too bad for those who will never know how wonder this man's music is. Too bad about the sound, but still great stuff! ;)
Wow, look how young Robyn looks here! When they were still a four piece, no less, just like the first time I saw him at Irving Plaza in 1985. Thanks for posting this. One of their best live tracks.,.. the version from the Marquee club on "Gotta Let This Hen Out" is spectacular.
Loved this cut. I always suspected it was too produced to be done live. I was way wrong. In a just universe, this could a been a radio staple. One of his sweet ones.
The visuals for Gotta were made by fans. (Unless it's different stuff on the DVD, which I've not seen.) He was never fond of it and had nothing to do with it.
Funny, my vhs with this has way worse video but, perfect sound. if the 2 were mixed.

funny how the credits mention Katrina and the Waves, did the Soft Boys bass player end up in that band?

Kimberley Rew, of the Soft Boys, was also in Katrina and the Waves. He wrote "Walking on Sunshine."
