In reply to 59bassman, I'd say that nothing could kill this vibe! Kim's energy is colossal. Mind you, that's what is required if you're going to play a Little Walter classic like this, as both of Walter's recorded versions were stunning.
IMO Kim Wilson is one of the few harp player in the world that can really play in the theme of Little Walter with copying him note for note like some of the other famous harp players do.
The song is actually 'I Love You So' by Little Walter, alternatively known as 'Oh Baby, also by Little Walter. Both of Walter's versions are superb - as is this. The guitarist quotes liberally from Howlin' Wolf's 'Rockin' Daddy' on Chess (Jody Williams on guitar)
cross harp second position C harp in the key of G he is using tougue blocking and flutter tounge 2 5 draw rapidly tapping toiugue on and off the harp.
its easyer to to play an octave and move your tongue from side to side.tilt your harp slightly up and rest your tongue on top you'll find it there with practice.
amazing, IVE seen Kim in Austin,st pete fla and orlando.met and spoke to him several times at Antones, just a great player and a pure gentelman. power house of tone.I wa=nna set my harps on fire and take up the triangle.
That's an early Astatic mic , UT-? loaded with a crystal.I believe it was before the JT. 30 mics. Kim has great tone no matter what he plays thru , great phrasing, attack, the total package, a modern MASTER.
The mic is an Astatic 200A. Probably with a crystal element, yes. But I can tell you, although it is a great mic, the tone is all coming from Kim. There is not a mic in the world he wouldn't sound great through. TRUST me when I say, it is the indian, not the arrow!
I just got into chicago yesterday, and you wouldnt believe it, Mark Hummel's Blues Harp Blowout Fri and Kim Wilson Sat at Buddy Guys...... You know where im gonna be!!!

Marine Band diatonic in key of C.
Sometimes this tune is played on the Koch harp 'cos Little Walter used it on one of his original takes, but not here.

This song is really cool in Ab with the Koch harp check Bhareth and the rythm 4 do this too.
