  • he,is gooooood! yeah!

  • whoa... inspiration...

  • This song makes me feel all right :)

    Stevie

  • In reply to 59bassman, I'd say that nothing could kill this vibe! Kim's energy is colossal. Mind you, that's what is required if you're going to play a Little Walter classic like this, as both of Walter's recorded versions were stunning.

    Rave on, Kim!

    Best wishes from the U.K.

  • Such a pleasure having Marty in the background...

  • simply the best of the best - voice & harp!

  • Bob Welsh on guitar

  • The only people that got it right were the ones that said amazing and awesome

  • Awesome!

  • ok everyone thats commenting on the mic is wrong. its an electrovoice. 605 i think

  • Astatic T3 with crystal element-I know this as a matter of fact.

  • Kim is simply bas ass!

  • I should have said 'without copying him note for note'

  • IMO Kim Wilson is one of the few harp player in the world that can really play in the theme of Little Walter with copying him note for note like some of the other famous harp players do.

  • The mic is probably a Astatic UT48, I heard Kim got this mic from Dennis Gruenling. Kim's the tone though.....

  • could be a T3 i see an on off switch at the front of it. like on the addapters for a T3

  • The song is actually 'I Love You So' by Little Walter, alternatively known as 'Oh Baby, also by Little Walter. Both of Walter's versions are superb - as is this. The guitarist quotes liberally from Howlin' Wolf's 'Rockin' Daddy' on Chess (Jody Williams on guitar)

    Best wishes from the U.K.

  • WOW!!!! He's amazing!!!!

  • nr 1 player in the world. king of harp playing!!!!!!!

  • the intro is amazing!!!!!!!:-) blow kim blow!!

  • Go Man Go!

  • This is AWESOME and thanx for sharing this great vid with me. ☆☆☆☆☆ Stars.

  • Great Playing, Wilson is so awesome. Anybody know what that technique he is doing at the end is?

  • cross harp second position C harp in the key of G he is using tougue blocking and flutter tounge 2 5 draw rapidly tapping toiugue on and off the harp.

  • its easyer to to play an octave and move your tongue from side to side.tilt your harp slightly up and rest your tongue on top you'll find it there with practice.

  • What a great player. Bravo.

  • amazing, IVE seen Kim in Austin,st pete fla and orlando.met and spoke to him several times at Antones, just a great player and a pure gentelman. power house of tone.I wa=nna set my harps on fire and take up the triangle.

  • Man that´s great ! Kim Wilson.....I´ll remember !!! thanks for posting

  • Anybody know what kind of mic that is that he's using?? Great tone!!

  • That's an early Astatic mic , UT-? loaded with a crystal.I believe it was before the JT. 30 mics. Kim has great tone no matter what he plays thru , great phrasing, attack, the total package, a modern MASTER.

  • The mic is an Astatic 200A. Probably with a crystal element, yes. But I can tell you, although it is a great mic, the tone is all coming from Kim. There is not a mic in the world he wouldn't sound great through. TRUST me when I say, it is the indian, not the arrow!

  • I've heard lots of versions of this song by Kim Wilson but I aint never heard it better than this.

  • Ya make my liver quiver, make my eyes turn red. Ya got me walkin' around in circles, ya got me talkin' all out my head...

  • what pedal???ahahahah he never used any...

  • superb as usual..and not an effects pedal in sight ..lol

  • A-W-E-S-O-M-E-E-E-E-E-E

  • Is he using a chromatic?

  • Marine Band diatonic in key of C.

Sometimes this tune is played on the Koch harp 'cos Little Walter used it on one of his original takes, but not here.

  • This song is really cool in Ab with the Koch harp check Bhareth and the rythm 4 do this too.

  • King Kim- Heart, Soul, Slammin Boogie Woogie Swing! Enough said!

  • I first heard this guy on Jimmy rogers LP Ludella. I aint looked back since. I think he's one of the best harp players on my time

  • My hero! Thats some killer jam! :)

  • Christ on a bike but he's tasty, his phrasing is something else. Thanks for putting that up, its nice to 'see' him play.

  • anyone know what kind of harps Kim plays?

  • I just got into chicago yesterday, and you wouldnt believe it, Mark Hummel's Blues Harp Blowout Fri and Kim Wilson Sat at Buddy Guys...... You know where im gonna be!!!

  • Special guest, Rusty Zinn on guitar (not visable on video). The rest of the band is Mark Hummel's Blues Survivors.
