  • better then being on a cell

  • Passing over the storm sewer grate, I winced, thinking the camera was going to strike the pavement.

  • I'm surprised you haven't thought of a small nose turbine that can recharge a cell phone or other small device. With every breath through your nose you'd be helping to save the environment.

  • Lmao it wuld be funny if he droped it

  • spendid

  • Thats really cool. I wouldn't do it with my cam I guess (to costly if it touches the ground)

  • The way you dangled the camera out the window, you ever thought of making a whole video out of just that? You could do it just going to work or the market or something but I'd watch the whole thing. The feeling of moving fast close to ground is very intense, even if it's on a screen. Think about it and if you do it, upload it! I guarantee tons of views.

  • LOL - I love ADHD.

  • Mate, your wheels are going backwards!

  • @OneEyedWheeler his wheels are going backwards because the camera is upside down.

  • @MegaAlex108 HAHAHA! watch it again and youll see how stupid that comment was. watch the part where he just starts to drive and the wheels are spinning the right way.

  • Does anybody find this video helpful in anyway?? He's simply talking about what a camera does. It records things so you can watch them later. Oh wait nevermind. I'm the idiot. Thanks for figuring out that neat little trick of doing two things at once. Btw, is it possible to also chew gum and walk at the same time, you should make that a video.

  • The Internet translation does not give back the moral of the story perfectly unfortunately, but I believe me it. :)

I tried it with a mobile phone today, a video great;) No problem!

  • I like the video. There is nothing bad in him. This provocation like that, than the inscription on the coffee glass: Watch out! Boiling! It is not necessary to be stupid.

  • Just a common internet problem, a person called a "troll," also called "flamer" or "hater."

Youtube has the same problems of any unmoderated forum. Youtube stops spammers, otherwise we'd be flooded by them. But they don't stop trolls, so we *are* flooded by them.

Comment section need buttons like this: REPLY | SPAM | HATER

  • Haha, I agree 100%.

  • lol i like that idea. but what would that button actually do?

  • > accident you just caused

Look closely. "While driving" is in a parking lot.

If people want to try this on the road, well, I wouldn't. I'd build a frame to hold the tripod, and have someone in the back seat do the filming.

  • Screwing around on private property (parking lots) with no other drivers is legal. Doing it on city streets is not.

  • lol what an asshole

    @aviatormxpilot

  • @aviatormxpilot people call during driving everyday. he knows the hazards. let it be

  • i really disagree with fliming whilst driving, especially as i respect you and your videos so much.. it's also frowned upon by the law in the same way being on a mobile phone is!

please think about the accident you could cause and think again n future!

  • still safer than writing and driving.

  • Nah, it's nothing like cellphone. Try it and see. It's about the same as singing while you drive. Or talking to friends in the back seat. (But talking to people can be distracting, because you have to listen to them!)

  • but not as safe as a dictator!

  • Until you try it, you have little idea of the actual level of safety. Using a camera to take notes is almost the same as thinking to yourself while driving; you just think out loud. It's easy to stop talking when traffic requires attention, (and it doesn't work at all for city driving: no time to relax and think.) It's *way* less risky than talking to passengers. Talking to friends takes lots of concentration, and they won't shut up as needed. Cellphones are even worse.

  • Problem with your Turbine Speedometer is if wind is blowing you would get a false reading <,<

  • Dealextreme had a better idea: a hood ornament with flashing LEDs powered by a small wind turbine.

  • Oh wait. I see now, Sorry. Dx It got better quality now. Lmao

  • For taking notes, use 160 pixel thumbnail mode. Thirty hours of recording, but low res.

  • This was a bit low quality for your videos, but its still awesome. you made me inspired with the science world. =D

  • WEEEEEEE! WEEEEE! Wheeeeee! That was great.

  • *camera touches ground*

    0_0

    whups...

  • wow, those are good stupid ideas - thanks?

  • Airspeed might actually be quite an interesting statistic for a cyclist. The airspeed data could be incorporated into the bike computer which would allow for more accurate calorie computations if the Drag Coefficient was known. Combined with a barometric altimeter (which could determine grade) the trip computer would be quite accurate as it would know a lot about the terrain that you are operating in. The final instrument would be a device to determine rolling resistance.

  • the wind powered spedometer would be amazinly inacurate

because you have lots if wind blowing

and if you moultiply it(scale mode)

then it would be even more off

  • > the wind powered spedometer would be amazinly inacurate

Definitely. But it would sell for two or three bucks.

It could have a "zero calibrate" button, where you reset to zero when not moving. Then as long as you move in a perfectly straight line, and the wind remains perfectly steady, everything works!

    :)

  • it was supposed to be sarcasm

but getting it so that your always moving in a strait line, the wind is the same everwhere

and its even from all sides

then it would work pretty good

or indoors, but theres really no purpose of it indoors

  • HAHAHAHAH HALIARIOUS

  • HOW!!!

i mean u have a super large arm?

    or what?

  • Tiny camera on a cheap tripod, tripod folded up.

While parked, I dangle the camera and tripod upside down just above the road, and get a feel for the position where it would touch down.

Then when driving, I just keep it lifted a few inches higher than the "Road Rash" position. I can pull it inside the car and aim the camera at my face. Magic! But better use a cheap camera. Buy old used mpeg camera (sony cybercam) on eBay.

  • 1:16 cool part :D

  • so u have toslap each others butts.... hahahaha

  • "You have to slap the person's butt to get a high score," LOL!! I almost spit my drink all over my screen :)

  • great vids :) i quite enjoyed it

  • wonderfully perverted twister idea! youneed to market that stuff man, lets get into bussiness!!!!

  • yeah thats an rude question wbeaty is awsome!!

  • you guys are immature "are you a virgin" you must be the virgin.

  • Who cares who's a virgin.

  • "you could record the accident while it's happening"

hahah oh man, you're just asking for a lawsuit

    (cool video though)

  • Id hate to dangle an expensive camera on a tripod out the car while someones driving.

Wouldn't dare do it if Im driving.

What if a cop sees you, lol?

  • man your like a genius

you sound so smart bout all the things

    you talk about

  • wireless idea's nice...*steal*

  • thats pretty awesome man.. i have watched like 10 of ur vids :P

  • man you've got a Yaris. Those are really nice cars.

  • > how did you manage to keep it so steady that the wind velocity was greatly averted?

Below 20MPH the wind doesn't do much. When driving faster, driving *with* the wind makes a big difference. But remember, when the camera is three inches above the road, 20MPH looks REALLY fast. (And... I've never tried it above 30MPH.)

  • One question thought Bill. I'm not sure how fast you were driving when you put it out the window but exactly how did you manage to keep it so steady that the wind velocity was greatly averted?

  • you say words i dont understand!!! good job i like your videos keep it up :)

  • I like the idea of a wireless game that can be played in pairs or large groups, but I don't know about the whole hitting other people aspect - we certainly find no shortage of ways to hit each other.

  • PEOPLE!

People the time has arrived. Many of you will watch the first few moments of this video and be amazed at the Steady-cam tricks, yes. But to the select few who are compelled to watch this video through to its entirety, for you awaits special, hidden messages encoded in this man's words. Listen carefully my friends. Believe! Believe in the POWER! THE POWER!!!

  • what words m8

  • Wow, that steadycam out the window was somethin else! However one thing that should be addressed is this. This method is fine but I think it still can cause somewhat of a distraction. Nobody should attempt this if they don't know what they are doing. After all safety is the number one factor. Anybody who tries this should still use caution.

  • > Anybody who tries this should still use caution.

...or at least do it in a parking lot, like I did!

  • Taboo Twister... awesome.

  • that camera out the car window was a cool idea...but I'm not sure I want to try that since my camera is kind of expensive.
