I am an Audio Engineer snd was 3 months from finishing my bachlors degree in audio engineering, and got offerened to go on tour with niel diamond and didnt think there was video of this, I def. dont regret it after watching this!!! I was one of 3 of his Lighting Cordinators, and design specialist. Hope you all enjoyed
The recorder is trying to hide the camera so he won't get thrown out. Performers do not, in general, want their stuff recorded while they are performing. The signs get posted everywhere but there are always those who feel they have a right to do what they want.
You are quite right. The artists do not want their stuff recorded, in case it costs them money. I am sure, in fact convinced, that this recording will cost Neil nothing. No $ at all. Because it is nothing more than a memory for those who were present, and nothing more than an idea for those who weren't. All will have the original. And that is what counts. Security was very tight, the danger of getting thrown out of the concert large. But....for memory's sake....worth it!!
just looking at him on sky plus at Glastonbury ... never realised he wrote red wine ... me mum (83) went and saw him at Wembley ... and need I say it? she were right thrilled
just sell the dvd after the concert to the fans, or take a lesson from The Grateful Dead, let the audience record the show they paid through the nose to see. The Dead even told you the best tape to use.
a friend used to record diamond concerts with an old sony stereo walkman. she placed it on the floor and the sound was 100 times better than this, but this has some good video, thanks for taking the risk, heaven forbid the diamond security would jump you diamond fans in your depends!(lol)
Hi I was at the Birmingham concert 2005,yes u where very Lucky to have got your camera in past security, i did not even try, i hope it will not be long before he returns back to Birmingham
Thanks for these comments. Unfortunately it is so difficult to film when security people are watching. So you have to wait until they are looking away before you can point the camera at the artist. Even then you have to keep one eye on the security staff. All this, whilst actually trying to enjoy the concert yourself. At the end of the day I go to see the artist perform, and not to film. So thanks for accepting that everybody!! Still good audio, so enjoy!
