Totally normal and i see nothing wrong here.. It's a job.. The media has just put a heavy focus on them suddenly. It isnt as if aircraft are going to start falling out of the sky if they make a personal call or use the toilet.. It isnt his fault that the plane and helicopter pilots were both blind and obviously somewhat retarded.

This is TERRIBLE! The fact is that he had to ask pilots to repeat themselves because he was chatting up some skirt. Also, after giving instructions to another pilot, he went back to his conversation without even hearing what the pilot repeated back to him. Who knows? Maybe the pilot didn't correctly hear what ATC told him. That's why you always repeat ATC instructions, so that everyone is on the same page. This guy should have been fired even without the crash. With the crash?  JAIL!

two people doing the same job day in day out. You hear a snippet of a casual conversation with atc controllers.each responible for a specific area of sky. What you think is the sound of no concern is actually no panic" This happens everyday all over the world . I guess if he were screaming and crying like a spineless p@@@@ like all the healthy yuppies who ran when they could have helped nyfd or wounded on 9\11 maybe that would be better , yes?
