my car full throttled at first start will this effect the engine? it was only on for about 5 secs then i pinched the pipe and it turned off as normal. plus now i have it under control it wont start and if it does start i try to idle it to break the engine in and it will turn off after a few secs is this a idle issue and does it need changing. i haven't touched any of my needles i only got the hyper 7 today please help.
@monnyg1 The first part of the question sounds to me like the throttle was open for the car to throttle like that. In the run in i recommend warming the head up with a hair dryer for around 5 mins before starting that would help with starting. The Throttle slide should be around 1mm open so i would check that. I would also check the miture screws, the settings should be in the hand book just to double check. Try that if you still have trouble just message me and i will try and help out ^^
@monnyg1 Ah, I looked again. They're zip ties surrounded with fuel tubing. I just never seen them put on lower layers of the cooling head. Most of the time it's on the first few layers so it just looks stupid, and also done from the top instead of from the side. (meaning usually the zip tie head is up on top to defend scratches)
@nitrorcfreak100 I would recommed this car, the engine is a but hungry for fuel compared to the 21 but other then that yeah, and if you could get one fully ungraded for 200 i would go for it.
@NirvanaRox4Eva They help to prevent or decrease any damage (mostly scratches) that would happen to the head if the truck flips over. I put fuel line around the circumference of the top fin on the head myself, but just a matter of preference.
@renegadevampire tbh i would pick nitro everytime, money wise they can be more exspensive over time with the cost of fuel and so on. I would say aswell learn how to fix and tune one because it will save you a lot of money compared to going to a shop and getting them to do it for you. So yeah i would say nitros are more fun for me then electric cars ^^
hi I like your video and I have got a hyper 7 myself could you tell me were you got your engine protectors from (the green things onto of your engine) because i have looked all over the internet and I cant find any and I want to get some myself thanks.
@TraxxasNoobie I didn't have any problem with the engine, went great even has a hole pri drilled for the boost bottle which made a difference aswell when i put one on. One thing i will say it did drink fuel, compared to my bros rexx 25 and the nosram 21 other then that though it was a pritty gd engine better then the ofna 21 that you can also get for them i'm sure of that.
Well simply Zip Ties within Fuel pipe lol, just protects the head if the car flips over and it does work, i have a thing of everything been shiny and scratch free lol
if you get two cars of the same model and put standard engines in but then upgrade to larger capacity non race engines there is a huge difference and as for trying to tell me your movein to automotive design or some shit, iv been a renault master tech for 7 years so i think i know about engines some how!!!!!!
Well i still say that the 21 rosman race spec engine is faster then a mach 28 so i upgraded from a stock to a race engine, and being a renault master tec if we take the non turbo and turbo nothing to do with rc cars i think that was the wrong example really, 2.0 litre and 2.8 litre that would have been better i think, and even then there are lots of examples of smaller engines out performing larger ones but i don't really have to say that to you, should know being what you are really.
you just agreed with what i meant, rosman is a race engine so therefore it should be faster and the turbo thing isnt completely wrong as depending on wether you have pull or bump start you may not have a one way bearing wheel which is a turbo in some nitro engines
Yeah well i think that clears it up lol i thought you ment that the stock 28 would be faster in most cases then the race 21, and i don't run pull starts there all bump, apart from the T-maxx RB 323 and the 28 was a turbo bearing so had fins, i even had a boost bootle on it but yeah the engine i have now is just way better, and drinks alot less. And the turbo thing i was relating to full scale engines but i think i'll leave it there when we agree ^^
I guess it's just like engine restrictions in real motorsport and some 28 would be faster then 21's just depends, but i will say after putting a Nosram 21 in it now the difference is just amazing.
thats like saying a 2.0 litre engine is faster than a 2.0 litre turbo engine!! me and my mate have run 21s and have changed to 28s and they are loads more powerful.
Well simply Zip Ties within Fuel pipe lol, thats all it is get a zip tie a small bit of fuel pipe slide it on, then put the end of the zip tie from the inside of the heat (around 2-4 fins down depending on engine head) through, connect the tie up and tighten so you still have some movement, move the end part of the tie strat down so the pipe covers the head, might just be simplier doing a quick vid on the subject lol i think thats what you wanted answering anyway ^^
Now that you have told me what they are you can see the ties lol.
Thank's for the tip, you should make a video for it better yet you should get it copyrighted, since I watched your video I couldn't find any protectors that looked as cool as your home made ones.
dose ur hyper cut off after half a tank coz mine dose and ive had it looked at by a model shop and he has sed that tis fine and i could have it even lener so its not over heating any tips
Well you really need to richen it if it's cutting out thats because the mixture will get ever so slightly leaner when the tank runs down, so turn the high speed screw out around half a turn and see if that solves the problem and if it is because if it's running was running lean that should keep it going. Thats just my guess from what you have said though, you feel need to say how it sounds when it cuts out, does it have the well what i call 2stroke burble and is it smoking alot or not ?
i think ofna is more of a um.......takeoff brand. Ofna is the cheaper brand, where as hobao is better quality. BRO U HAVE TO TAKE BETTER CARE OF YOUR CAR!
Why do people think it's not in good nick lol like i say it was running rich because i had the boost bottle on hence the smoke and the exhaust just needed a bush up but didn't because i had got a picco pipe so what was the point , hell for a bit of kit that cost me nearly £300 pound at the time i treat it like gold dust same with my other cars, i'm not like some who get these cars and jump them to breaking point am i no, i have still got the car after 2 + years and haven't broke it once lol
Thats new in that vid just after run in lol and yeah i have that engine has last me 12 gallon, just changed it for a nosram 21, and thats the only thing i have changed, apart from the carbon parts. one thing i do is take car of them last count how many times i have rebuilt all my cars just to clean them and i enjoy it ^^
Well depends, if your starting off the tq i would say because the mach 28 is a pig to tune sometimes and if you don't know how to do that well you going to fall out with it that a fact i did and i'm pritty good at doing it, and also if you don't know how to drive well you don't jump into the deep end, tbh though if you are already good at RC i would just do what i have now and get a hyper rollering chassis and a good engine, i have a Nosram 21 in now and the performance is way better then stock
They are just to protect the cooling head from small rolls, so scratches and such but if you rolled it at 40 or something there not going to be much help lol
It did before i put the bottle on but then it seemed to stay pritty cool well cool in engine ways lol, but it all depends on fuel you are running, age of the engine and a lot of other things but if it seems to be running ok with a good smoke out of the exhaust and no really power lose up the rev band it should be ok ^^
Hyper 7's Rock, Ive got a Hobao Hyper 7 .28, Hpi Savage x4.6, Hpi Rush Evo & A Kyosho Inferno and i must say out of them all my Hyper 7 blows me away. It has the same size engine as my savage and man that it powerful and wow im stuned by the performance. Hyper 7 All The Way !!!
i just got hyper 7 black run in new engine and i love hobao there cars are great especially the buggies there awesome mine doesnt stall now taking it for a first time tune so when i do need to adjust it ill only have to turn one or two needles a bit to make more or less smoke but anyone looking for a one eight scale buggy get anything hobao
I would LOVE to get a car that goes at least 50 mph, has a long-range antenna (1 mile radius), and wireless camera.. OMG it would be sooooooooooooo much fun holy crap. I would totally fuck with people in car ports lol!
My schumacher does 80 mph at a push but i never have the room lol I did do some drawings for a 1/5 jet powered car what i thought would be great but i needed an old 1/5 chassis everything that goes with that and a model jet so it was going to go through the roof for the cost so i had to scrap the idea :( Next idea a turbo chargered 1970's beetle, automotmotive engineering here a come lol
Well tuning can be a right pig but when you have it set it's OK but keep in mind i did run a boost bottle when i was using the mach 28, now i'm running a nosram 21 and the difference is amazing, so i would recommend not going with the mach 28 compared to most engines it's not as fast, eats fuel and like i said before it's a pain to tune sometimes and the tq 21 is not better at tuning but lacks power. So i would say go with another make like RB ect.
u sure m8??. they are one of the worst engine to tune me an many other owners say the same good powerfull engine tho id rather go for a force 28 or the picco 28
Everyone has different opinions but i have found that the smaller engines (apart from the trx 2.5 which is crap) tune better, i have a RB323 in my t-maxx and i have had no trouble tuning that what so ever every engines different though i have had 2 engines before that where identical and one was a dream to work with and the other a pig lol but i stick be what i said because thats my experience and thats all can base my advise on :)
yeah no i agree with the smaller engines and that they do keep their tune alot better and thats why i prefer them but only for the tuning reason i much more prefer the bigblocks in the savages i heard good of them they chuck out so much almost 40 thousend rpm and almost 3 hp from a big block 28!! ususally they only hit 29 thousend rpm but then the porting does matter and the one im talkin about ( k4.6) kills man its seriously good
Well top speed i would say around 40mph- 50mph depending on gearing if you get a 2 speed gearbox it would go even faster. And on how robust, all the time i have had it i have only broken on thing and that was because i hit a tree at 40 lol And as you can see from my other vids they do get some use, so they are very robust.
i just got this one from my local model shop and my engine was allready capable of having one if the engines not u have to drill a hole below the carb
its not nos, i just takes peasure out of the cankcase and stores it until it takes in fuel on the down stroke of the pisten thats about how simple i can put it without writting a book lol
to check the carb you will have to take the air-filter off, this aint a problem aslong as you dont get going anywhere dirty to run it in, or with pebbles/little stones etc. When it's rich it will have no power and alot of thick fumes should be exhausted, alot like the car in this video. Be easy with the revs too for the first few tanks.
Ahh yes, dont forget to check the carboreta, you want it about 1/4 open for starting i think, maybe alittle less. Also set the fuel/air mixture to what the manufacture recommends for first run, this will be very rich and you may need to adjust to keep the engine stable in cold conditions while running rich.
Rally, put the glowstarter onto the top of the endgine, it will clip onto the glowplug, then obviously make sure theres fuel in, and there should be a primer button on the fuel tank, hit that until you see fuel run through the pipe and into the engine, then give it another 1-3 squirts. Too many and the engine floods = not good. Then just give the pullstart a pull, if it runs and cuts out then hit the primer button another once.
you couldnt send me an email tellin me how 2 start the thing could u coz i got it yestadya harged the glow plug got up tried 2 start it n its my first nitro car so i dont no how 2 start it so if u wouldnt mind some help wouldnt go a miss .. thnx
hell yeah the boost bottel makes the diffrence in accel and im getting the hyper 8 inline tune pipe i wz jus wonderin if thatl make any diffrences on my performance
well i have a picco 069 inline pipe on my hyper (that i got for £2.88 off ebay lol) and it made a bit of a differnce to the top end because its a single chamber pipe and thats what i think the hyper 8 pipes are say if i wrong but im shower they are and some people same dd's are a waste of time but on the mach 28 it makes a hell of a differnce.
2.88 thas cheap lol im gettin the hyper 8 in line from that ebay shop i woz tellin ya about think its for £27... hope i dont get bumped tho lol i havnt before so i still gotta chance lol.
my hyper would eat thwm for breakfast got a team infinty 30 size revs to 42000 rpm its an animal nearlly fully hopped up just need some more ally bits
Ignore the haters. Lean your engine out a lil. Sounds too rich. And a .21 would be faster if that's what you're after. I've got a pbs with an Ofna .21 8 port. It actually hung with my brothers Jato.
I take that back.... you're just mislead. The 8 port turbo .21 will kill your .28. A boost bottle on a .28? in a buggy? No rpm's.....You're all torque Jr.
yer the 8 port would but not the 4 port turbo and i have leaned it out since then i have another vid of it and ma bros rex-x and it's running great there. ps the boost bottle dose inprove it from a standing start
trust me this car does fly and at the time i did the vid i had it running rich because i was see how well the boost bottle work on it and i do now how to look after them i have been in the hobbie for 6 years now and yes it would eat the 21 easy, my modded t-maxx would eat the 21 as well and the car looks fine to me.
well im going to put another vid on in the next few weeks of the hyper7 taking on some very big jumps and geting at least 12ft of air and it just shows how tuff they are!
well a gallon of 20% will last me around a mouth and that coasts £20 a pop so i would say i spend £150-£200 in a year on fuel and i get it from ma local model shop but if you go on the net you can get 5 gallons for £80 so u get a gallon free, depends what brand of fuel you get tho.
well the jato i think have a 2 speed, my hyper just has single speed but u can get 2 speeds for the hyper and i would like a jato but i have tomany nitro cars for my own good lol
why do so many put racket to their vids? lets hear the nitro and nothing else please

@monnyg1 They're bits of green fuel tubing. It's used to protect the cooling head from scratches if it flips.
I'm kind of old school though, I've only ever seen zip ties, never fuel tubing. Looks way cooler the way he has them set up.

bennyboy19931993 3 years ago

FSXProductions747 3 years ago

I would LOVE to get a car that goes at least 50 mph, has a long-range antenna (1 mile radius), and wireless camera.. OMG it would be sooooooooooooo much fun holy crap. I would totally fuck with people in car ports lol!
FilmPA 3 years ago
My schumacher does 80 mph at a push but i never have the room lol I did do some drawings for a 1/5 jet powered car what i thought would be great but i needed an old 1/5 chassis everything that goes with that and a model jet so it was going to go through the roof for the cost so i had to scrap the idea :( Next idea a turbo chargered 1970's beetle, automotmotive engineering here a come lol
kyconic44 3 years ago
hey does anyone know were i can get a two speed gearbox from for one of these cars
Danman1475 3 years ago
Ebay is the best bet but it's most likely you would have to order one and they are a bit pricely.
kyconic44 3 years ago
ty man. also is the mach 28 an easy one to tune cos im upgrading to a hyper 7 mach 28 and im wondering wether to tget this one or the tq 21
Danman1475 3 years ago
Well tuning can be a right pig but when you have it set it's OK but keep in mind i did run a boost bottle when i was using the mach 28, now i'm running a nosram 21 and the difference is amazing, so i would recommend not going with the mach 28 compared to most engines it's not as fast, eats fuel and like i said before it's a pain to tune sometimes and the tq 21 is not better at tuning but lacks power. So i would say go with another make like RB ect.
kyconic44 3 years ago
ok ty man
Danman1475 3 years ago
u sure m8??. they are one of the worst engine to tune me an many other owners say the same good powerfull engine tho id rather go for a force 28 or the picco 28
hypa7mach28 3 years ago
Everyone has different opinions but i have found that the smaller engines (apart from the trx 2.5 which is crap) tune better, i have a RB323 in my t-maxx and i have had no trouble tuning that what so ever every engines different though i have had 2 engines before that where identical and one was a dream to work with and the other a pig lol but i stick be what i said because thats my experience and thats all can base my advise on :)
kyconic44 3 years ago
yeah no i agree with the smaller engines and that they do keep their tune alot better and thats why i prefer them but only for the tuning reason i much more prefer the bigblocks in the savages i heard good of them they chuck out so much almost 40 thousend rpm and almost 3 hp from a big block 28!! ususally they only hit 29 thousend rpm but then the porting does matter and the one im talkin about ( k4.6) kills man its seriously good
hypa7mach28 3 years ago
hi what mixture settings on the lwn and hsn did you find to work good with the hyper 7 .28? i am having a nightmare.
itzLeo 3 years ago
Just out side of chester-le-street what is inbetween newcastle and durham but closer to durham
kyconic44 3 years ago
whats the top speed on these?
how robust are they??
06sk8nsurf 3 years ago
Well top speed i would say around 40mph- 50mph depending on gearing if you get a 2 speed gearbox it would go even faster. And on how robust, all the time i have had it i have only broken on thing and that was because i hit a tree at 40 lol And as you can see from my other vids they do get some use, so they are very robust.
kyconic44 3 years ago
where is that track?
06sk8nsurf 3 years ago
do u no where i could get one, could you get me one?
mrdragoman222 4 years ago
off ebay. you can get them cheaper than a local model store there
Danman1475 3 years ago
and where you get the boost bottle?
mrdragoman222 4 years ago
i just got this one from my local model shop and my engine was allready capable of having one if the engines not u have to drill a hole below the carb
kyconic44 4 years ago
nearly rite KYLE!!
krazybassted 4 years ago
its not nos, i just takes peasure out of the cankcase and stores it until it takes in fuel on the down stroke of the pisten thats about how simple i can put it without writting a book lol
kyconic44 4 years ago
its a boost bottle!
think of it as noz in a real car but it on a lil nitro engine
krazybassted 4 years ago
what have you done to the carb mate? there like a fuel line going in the carb in the side, whats that do, why you do and how?
mrdragoman222 4 years ago
to check the carb you will have to take the air-filter off, this aint a problem aslong as you dont get going anywhere dirty to run it in, or with pebbles/little stones etc. When it's rich it will have no power and alot of thick fumes should be exhausted, alot like the car in this video. Be easy with the revs too for the first few tanks.
aspudgun 4 years ago
Ahh yes, dont forget to check the carboreta, you want it about 1/4 open for starting i think, maybe alittle less. Also set the fuel/air mixture to what the manufacture recommends for first run, this will be very rich and you may need to adjust to keep the engine stable in cold conditions while running rich.
aspudgun 4 years ago
Rally, put the glowstarter onto the top of the endgine, it will clip onto the glowplug, then obviously make sure theres fuel in, and there should be a primer button on the fuel tank, hit that until you see fuel run through the pipe and into the engine, then give it another 1-3 squirts. Too many and the engine floods = not good. Then just give the pullstart a pull, if it runs and cuts out then hit the primer button another once.
aspudgun 4 years ago
you couldnt send me an email tellin me how 2 start the thing could u coz i got it yestadya harged the glow plug got up tried 2 start it n its my first nitro car so i dont no how 2 start it so if u wouldnt mind some help wouldnt go a miss .. thnx
rallymadryan 4 years ago
thats running a bit rich isnt it??
woozaggle 4 years ago
yeah that i was testng out the boost bottle that i had just put no and it changed the mixture a bit
kyconic44 4 years ago
you dont have to run it on that it wont even really go that fast wid 15% kick it up to 20 or 25 itl go fk fast i have a hyper 7 mach 28 boost bot 20%
nitrofreak07 4 years ago
thats the same set up i run and it fast and i have had no probs
kyconic44 4 years ago
hell yeah the boost bottel makes the diffrence in accel and im getting the hyper 8 inline tune pipe i wz jus wonderin if thatl make any diffrences on my performance
thx v.m =D
nitrofreak07 4 years ago
well i have a picco 069 inline pipe on my hyper (that i got for £2.88 off ebay lol) and it made a bit of a differnce to the top end because its a single chamber pipe and thats what i think the hyper 8 pipes are say if i wrong but im shower they are and some people same dd's are a waste of time but on the mach 28 it makes a hell of a differnce.
kyconic44 4 years ago
ps thanx for pointin out the shop on ebay, cheap but i dont like shipping things over seas if its from ebay, had probs in the past with it.
kyconic44 4 years ago
2.88 thas cheap lol im gettin the hyper 8 in line from that ebay shop i woz tellin ya about think its for £27... hope i dont get bumped tho lol i havnt before so i still gotta chance lol.
nitrofreak07 4 years ago

Got to admit the hyper buggy is one the best looking buggys out there.
smicko77 4 years ago
Ignore the haters. Lean your engine out a lil. Sounds too rich. And a .21 would be faster if that's what you're after. I've got a pbs with an Ofna .21 8 port. It actually hung with my brothers Jato.
P.S. kyconic44's a fucking cornball.
DoubleMoneyBoyz 4 years ago
I take that back.... you're just mislead. The 8 port turbo .21 will kill your .28. A boost bottle on a .28? in a buggy? No rpm's.....You're all torque Jr.
DoubleMoneyBoyz 4 years ago
yer the 8 port would but not the 4 port turbo and i have leaned it out since then i have another vid of it and ma bros rex-x and it's running great there. ps the boost bottle dose inprove it from a standing start
kyconic44 4 years ago
mate u need too learn how too look after your cars that looks like a piece of shit and my hyper7 witha 21 turbo would eat that
hyper7s 4 years ago
trust me this car does fly and at the time i did the vid i had it running rich because i was see how well the boost bottle work on it and i do now how to look after them i have been in the hobbie for 6 years now and yes it would eat the 21 easy, my modded t-maxx would eat the 21 as well and the car looks fine to me.
kyconic44 4 years ago
sweet, im hopefully selling my hpi nitro mt2 for one of these beasts. they rule and they hardley ever break lol!
Magicxz 4 years ago
well im going to put another vid on in the next few weeks of the hyper7 taking on some very big jumps and geting at least 12ft of air and it just shows how tuff they are!
kyconic44 4 years ago
how much do you spend on gas ,say in a year??and did you bought it on the net??nice car and clip by the way
MoNziL 4 years ago
well a gallon of 20% will last me around a mouth and that coasts £20 a pop so i would say i spend £150-£200 in a year on fuel and i get it from ma local model shop but if you go on the net you can get 5 gallons for £80 so u get a gallon free, depends what brand of fuel you get tho.
kyconic44 4 years ago
thks..be cool ;)
MoNziL 4 years ago
nice how much is the hyper 7
PsychoPinUpDoll 5 years ago
i got this one new for £290 thats the one with the.28 engine but the one with the .21 is around £270
kyconic44 5 years ago
im thinking of puting another diff to the jato to make it 4wd
dirt5ripper 5 years ago
i hav a jato3.3 and it can go 65+mph u shood get 1 thear great but expensive
dirt5ripper 5 years ago
well the jato i think have a 2 speed, my hyper just has single speed but u can get 2 speeds for the hyper and i would like a jato but i have tomany nitro cars for my own good lol
kyconic44 5 years ago
nice how fast does it go?
dirt5ripper 5 years ago
i would say around 50-55mph thats just a guess tho
