  • Immanuel does in fact mean "God with us".

The Hebrew word comes from two Hebrew words:

    1 - {eem} = with

    2 - {el} = God

The word Immanuel also appears in the New Testament and is not a Greek word, it is an exact transliteration into Greek which retains the same meaning "God with us".

  • Immanuel in Hebrew translated to English does NOT mean God with us.
