Did the audience see the part of them singing on the screen and then they just started singing where the video of them left off...is that how they did it?

I think that was a pre-recored simulation that the audience was watching on a screen, but that was actually the Killers singing/playing as the video was showing. Then, when the time came, the video cut out, the lights turned on, and they watched the actual Killers for the rest of the song.
