The part about the hydrogen and disulfide bonds is what really stood out to me. Some people still swear up and down that relaxed hair can revert but now after watching this video, I will have a fact based response to this claim. Very helpful!
This was really interesting! I cant wait to see your next video, thank you so much . I really want to learn more about hair growth and how to get rid of split ends. I do not use heat on my hair , I use home made masks and treatments and I cut the ends regularly but I still have some split ends. Maybe I don`t eat healthy.
Good video I learned a lot about proteins (amino acids), keratin and sulfur. Hence a protein treatment would be important if 97% of the hair is protein. Also that moisture =shine
Thank u for taking the time to do this video & sharing it on YT. This info is very helpful & I am really looking forward to future lessons. I started my healthy hair journey back in 2008 & your videos were the very first ones that i watched. I was truly inspired. I took notes and observed your methods very closely. Back then my hair was just above my earlobe with much damage. Today, I am almost AP length and most importantly, my hair is much healthier than before. Thank you.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR DOING WHAT YOU DO! im an 18 year old girl with mixed african american relaxed hair. i havent relaxed it in almost a year now. i wanted to try to go natural bc my hair is so damaged but your videos and methods are making me want to just relax it WHILE taking excellent care of it! im so determined but im nervous and confused as to what steps would be right for me to start with. i just wish i knew you in person so you could help me out :/

In sharing this with everyone.
Doing better with my eating habits.
NOT to offend anyone, why is it that a LOT (not all) of heavy women have thick and long hair?

But even though those things are broken because of chemical treatment, the new hair grows out healthy, right...??

This video was fantastic! I'm wondering if using jojoba oil is best to help with sebum since it's so much like sebum. Thanks Macherie.

thanks ! this made sooo much sense especially since i study bio & chem.. & we've done biochemistry- biological molecules which is my FAV LOOL.
quick question.. so keratin which is what hair is made from.. has a tertiary structure since you mentioned disulfide bonds?
