Nonetheless it does download with no problems whatsoever, you must be doing something wrong when you connect the USB. You can easily move files using Windows Explorer.

This video is nearly four years old and Flip is no longer being manufactured. I would say that it is a very good camera offering top rate quality films. All of my films have been made using it.

The problem with HD is that you need very fast internet access to upload - in my office it is around 200MB per hour and I certainly would not try at any lower speed.

You also need a new computer with plenty of RAM if you are going to start manipulating heavy files.

davesfarmfan1 Actually, This can take photos. I have the Flip Mino HD Camcorder. On your editing software as it says on the video, click Take Snapshot and then you can have pictures on your computer and you can upload them to Facebook, Twitter or Youtube. And a tripod will still up the photos. Try it for yourself. Check me out please.

@computerworld, incorrect, when wanting to take still photos just make a one second video of what you want to take, plug it into the computer then you can choose to capture a still image of one of the frames in the videos. then just do what you want with it from there

@computerworld actually that isn't true... when you upload a video from your flip in the lip program you can go through the video and take still shots and import that anywhere you want, so in essence you can take photo's with your flip!

I have a harddrive camcorder from around 2004 and it has auto adjust on the settings like the flip does, and its easy to put videos on the computer, plug in the charger and plug in the cable...or infact, just leave it in the computer and plug the other end into the camcorder...all the videos are recorded in a mpg format...i've never had any of the problems the flipcam "fixes" while using my HDD camera for the past 7 years.

I got this same one on Black Friday two days ago for 99.97 in North Carolina, and it came with the battery pack and the carrying case. After messing around for about an hour with all the stuff on the software and making a quick movie, I am VERY impressed. It is VERY user friendly and is not hard to figure out. I give it a 8/10 if anyone is thinking about picking one up!

@Webkinzcheetah It is easy to get movies off the Flip and onto your camera -- just plug it in like you would any USB drive and copy the files. If you're using rechargeable batteries, they may have lost their ability to hold a charge.
