Of course, it all depends on your size and where it bites you. Also, I don't know your brothers allergies, which could affect the results. not to say that copperheads aren't dangerous, but they have one of the least lethal bites of all the snake kingdom. they do not release enough venom in a single bite to kill an average person. it's great that there was no permanent damage done tho.

I have stepped on Two of those one struck at me but I was wearing snake leggins. The only thing that worries me more then getting snake bit are brown recluses and black widows.

Yeah, my sister got bit by a brown recluse when she was 8. The bite literally eats your flesh. It was on her knee and over a half quarter sized hole was just filled pus and rot.

Copperheads are the least venomous snake there is, but yes it would still hurt like hell.

Death from copperhead bites are very rare but tissue damage can be pretty bad. Copperhead venom is being used in cancer research. So these animals have a place in nature and should be left alone when in the wild. Having been bitten by many venomous snakes I can say copperheads are very painful.

damn,that sucks. where i used to live,in the hills of West Virginia,if you caught a copper-head snake and killed it you could get $30 for it if you took it to the local Court-house.thats because we had really bad snake problems in that area.

if you are bitten the best thing you can do is if you have olive oil is to suck out the venom. The venom binds with the olive oil and when your done just spit it out and rinse your mouth.

I'm a big snake geek and pretty much know tons about snakes, and I'm positive that copperhead bites arn't that dangerous. There is a simple home remedy that you can use for them. Of course, it all depends on your size and where it bites you. Also, I don't know your brothers allergies, which could affect the results. All in all, a normal bite isnt deadly, so everyone posting comments like "hes a survivor" needs to stop. message me through my inbox if you disagree, i'm running out of room here.

please dont call me idiotic, theres no real need to insult people. Ok, first off, I know copperheads are venomous, but, not all venom is deadly. The copperhead for instance, has very weak venom, that is only strong enough to kill rats, smaller birds, and very young children. Secondly, if someone has died from a copperhead bite, then they died from the anti-venom or were very small (baby size). Anti-venom can cause allergic reactions and then kill the patient. reply again if you need more info.
