@TeamMastaPr2 John's clearly not singing into a microphone the whole time, yet you hear more than Roger and Freddie. Didn't you know that Spike Edney, Queen's guest keyboardist could sing?
Written by Lieber and Stoller for Elvis for the movie Jailhouse Rock. A Crazy Little Thing Called Love was originally written for Elvis but he never got to do it.. This is fun and I like Queen, but nobody does these songs like Elvis. Just watched him before I came here.
@keetonplace OH MY GOD!! Are you mad? Crazy little thing called love was written by Freddie Mercury, two years after Elvis dead..Freddie never wants to give this song Elvis...you are funny a don´t forgot Freddie didn´t want to imitate Elvis, he wanted to honor his memory
@frankiehiyo Brian is a buddy holly fan so I think that's why they play this song. But possibly freddy had a listen at elvis' version. Big spender is freddy's choise of the evening obviosly.
@FREDDIEMANIAC It must have had something to do with the hat. John was simply inside out of himself....hehe. I posted it in our FB group so we can discuss it. I wont beg you, again, to join. PLEASE JOIN. *jk lies like a rug*
@garaapje.....Thank you for the correction. I did try to amend that, but mistakenly gave credit to Elvis, rather than Buddy Holly. (The next song was Ricky Nelson's.) Appreciate the input. :)
@chenzo951 - No prob! Actually, I love the way Freddie does Anything!!
I didn't even think I liked 70's-90's music till I heard Queen. I used to just like wh was current. But Freddie changed all that. Queen's music is so timeless tho, it still sounds new & relevant today. Queen is ageless! That's why I love them so much. And their more obscure songs are their true gems, better even than their hits.
No Elvis did NOT COVER this song. Elvis was the FIRST to record this song. The song was written for Elvis, by Leiber, Stoller, Domino, & Bartholomew for the 1957 Elvis movie "Jailhouse Rock"
@celestegrl I have it too. It's marvellous!! Freddie's 'speech' on rumours about Queen is so funny :-D And 'is this the world' and 'who wants to live forever really takes my breath away
0:58 John Deacon laughs and turns his face away from the people, about the hat covering Freddie's eyes.
