  • i just discovered this video, again thank you xamandine for widening my musical horizons. i will most definetely listen to the other ones you have posted (i also commented on jan lundren's "magnum mysterium", which i bought quite by accident a few years back). my roots are cuban and italian and i live in france, but my two trips to scandinavia influenced and "affected" me in a very positive musical way, these songs are very beautiful and melancholic, thank you for sharing.

  • @kalitheamare Thank you for visiting my channel, I’m glad you like the music posted here!

  • unbelievable melody..i like the song but i don't know what it is saying..can you give me a link for the english translation of this song? thanks.. you did great xAmandine

  • @lalabsrhian there is already an english translation in the video info. thank you for your comment

  • amazing!

  • When were these songs written? They are very beautiful.

  • @SugarCookied Thank you for your comment! I think with folk songs no one can tell who wrote them or when.

  • @xAmandine Ohhhh, ok! :) So is it only those specific arrangements that were done by those composers, not the lyrics themselves?

  • @SugarCookied Yes they arranged them from traditional songs, I’m not sure abot the lyrics.

  • The melancholy found in many a piece of Finnish music like this is my favorite! I now just have to learn more Finnish to understand them.

  • the second song (from 2:42 on) is in Swedish; not sure why it's got a Finnish title

  • @h1zchan I think they sing a part in Finnish and a part in Swedish

  • Can I download this anywhere?

  • The choir...It's really beautiful! O.O

  • @lunaruby haha it's my choir ^^

  • Beautiful voices and song.5*

  • such a powerful and magical creation.. beautiful song...

Thank you dear Kari for sharing this beauty.

    5*****

    warm big hugs

    farnoosh.

  • I don't understand a word,but it's great

  • So beautiful !

  • I'm glad you like it!

  • The boy in the painting called "Soria Moria" of Theodor kittelsen is looking at the golden Soria Moria castle in the horizon.

  • This is gorgeaus song...well songs. It seems so meloncholy and the people singing in it have a mixture of pain and nostalgia...enough with my rambling but I was wondering where I can't find the lyrics translated for both songs for us people that unfortunatly cannot speak another language...(My ignorace makes me cry) If you can do that, that would be great. Thank you so much for putting this up

  • thank you for your kind comment and interest. I've put the text in the video info

  • i hadn't realised it was two separate songs...they seem to merge together beautifully...unless they were supposed to be performed together in that way...

  • it's two songs but I toned them in the movie maker, I like to hear them merge too

  • I have seen Soria Moria... It's actualy the sun people were watching...

  • yea, I took the name from the painting that in turn refers to an old norwegian fairy-tail :)The music is from Finland though, the rather sad lyrics telling another story but I still thought they had the same mood as the picture.

  • thanx everyone for watching! :) me too I like this choir and the song

  • Great work, with your usual assured poetic taste and comunicative.

  • the most beautiful instrument on earth is still the human voice

  • Very beautiful work. Enjoyed immensely.
