@cristian3131 this amplifier is not for "power", it would be 1W or 2W per channel. If you want get in better the speaker volume change the width of the cable for a bigger one.

Look up the TangentSoft CMoy tutorial. This guy just ripped off the TangentSoft tutorial majorly. He took all the pictures, the parts list, and the instruction from TangentSoft. The TS tutorial is at least 100x times better and more in depth as well. It goes into deep elaboration of how you can modify the circuit to change the sound and what other op amps you could use in it.

For its small size, it actually drives headphones pretty well. Obviously, it's no replacement for a good headphone amp, but when space is a premium, this is perfect. I don't know of many other headphone amps that run on just 1 -2 9V batteries and that you can carry in your pocket.

It's a headphone amplifier.

Basically, if you have really good headphones, an iPod won't be able to drive them to their full potential, so you'll need a better way to drive them. This is what that amp does. You plug an audio source into one end, and headphones in the other.

1 you make jump leads out of the resistors you soldered in first so solder in the resistors then the jump leads then solder in anything else in the order of size leaving the ICs to the end the only time you solder something bigger before something smaller is when the something smaller takes up less space than something bigger and is under something. allso you onlu solder jumps first if theyre under a resistor...
