Actually Tryndamere is a pretty nice jungler.

And it is better to go:

Runes: ALL crit damage

Quit: Lifesteal

So you get Lifesteal from item + 6% of Quit + 3% of Masteries.

= a lot early game life steal wich hold the possible"fail" crit you needed.

When you think he is a bit slow, thats a lie.

His E skill makes him move faster than any chamion since he can cross walls and get nice distance, only jungles with similar would be Shaco ambush, still... CD is higer.

And once you get Berserker Greaves and go for Phantom Blades.... You start to be the fastest jungler in game -.-.... With the insane bonus atk speed + 30% crit change that gets up to 70% with rage bar full...thing that you wont need to get down untill ganks...

You may think what I am saying is stupid, but proof is me getting lvl 12 - worse case 11 -when mid and top solo are lvl 10....

RED n°1! Ask team to get Lizard HP almost down so you kill him and after that all team go to golem, leave lizard minions behind and all team atks golems, so you can kill both, and go back to both lizard minions.do that and you dont even use smite

Why dont use smite?so you can gank with W skill at lvl 2 without E :P

Why would it work? WHODAFK would think trynda would jungle with Ghost> TO hunt not run And flash?

Y U PUT TRYND IN TIER2?

I know he has to and WILL steal aka farm sidelanes and can't properly early do as much stuff as better junglers. . . But HE'S TRYNDAMERE FOR GODS SAKE! He snowballs like crazy and will singlehandedly carry if you go to lategame. And his ganks are not too bad as his damage is high. And HE SHOUTS SOMETHING LIKE FUSROD-- never mind. He's not as vunerable as olaf in jungle and snowballs better than xin (IMHO). Any other reason than the fact that he somewhat relies on RNG?

@GreenFestival You can still get bladed armor while getting the crit masteries. Just don't get any of the CDR from the offense. You are only missing out on the 4% CDR which isnt really much for Tryndamere since you do buff his crit chance and crit damage which is better in the long run.

I see no reason not to start with red with tryn, (and level 2 gank) Blue is of essentially no value to him IMO, better to secure a red buff (preferably the enemy's).

The biggest mistake I see junglers consistently making is to undervalue red buff and overvalue blue.

What I have been doing is invade - steal red - level 2 gank - then take the small camps on the way to my own red. You will likely get into a fight with the enemy jungler here, which is easy to anticipate and get help for.

Update: Tried Udyr with boots and pots and worked wonders. Tried noc and lee sin also but at the end I didn't have as much hp as with udyr. So it's viable on some champs.

Hey Stonewall, arn't the crit strike chance and crit strike damage masteries probably better that the 3% life steal and some of either Havoc or Butcher? It seemed like you never got dangerously low for the 3% life steal to matter against the 12 from the vamp scepter, and then you have a lot more damage for the late game as him with more painful crits. Sure he won't be as sustainable early on, but it doesn't look like it would be that dangerous in the new jungle.

Also when your fury is at max, you get that bonus crit chance from passive. So not using heal means full use of passive + bonus AD.

@lealmatthew cloth armor and pots is still viable mostly on tanky junglers who would like to rush aegis of the legion. Besides the pots provide health to survive being counter'd early on and wards are always helpfull.

I can imagine going rammus, cloth armor, 2 wards and a health pot (or 1 ward and 3 health), and then building into an aegis after boots.
