1953, from the film Thunder in the East. So beautiful, the melody and lyrics. It's a pitty they aren't able to malke musics like this, nowadays. Rockybrazil1
I love many of Frankie Laine's western songs, but I like the version of this song by Nat King Cole much better. It's a vocal version of a movie theme (from the movie "Thunder In the East"). Does anyone know which one is the "original" (I don't think that a vocal version was used in the movie)?
@aplantage My favorite singer is Frankie Laine, but Nat sings this better. When I was still a teenager this song was popular by Nat King Cole. I don't think Frankie ever recorded it as a single.
This Song Is Beyond.....His Voice Is So Clean And Perfect, .....Every Time I Hear Him I Want To Cry, The Word`s To This Song Are Unexplainable To beautiful To Explain, .. He Is And Alway`s Will Be My Favorite <3

One of my all time favorite NAT KING COLE tunes and I too was surprised to find it because I thought I knew most of his repetoire.
Thank you very much for posting this gem.

I thought I had everything by Nat - and now I find this jewel! Stupid question: did he ever have singing lessons?
