In 1987 cable only gave you about 7 additional channels?? wtf? now you get at least 50 or 60 total channels with cable

This is when they upgraded from notch-interference filters (170 & 171 mhz) to the addressable Zenith-PM/PZ descrambler.

Such a nice hackable box.

I doubt anyone still uses that system anymore.

my life was never the same in the fall of 87..finally after a 3 year wait, being able to watch MuchMusic and TSN. It was only on Cablevision up until that time.
