You know, in that last scene, where Ralph puts on the pith helmet, and beyond his father's grave Swaziland is stretched out before him... it really stirs in you a strange nostalgia for the empire, doesn't it? I don't think that was what Richard E. Grant was going for. But, nevertheless, that's a powerful image, that of the last pith-helmeted Englishman at the helm of a landscape that had once belonged to him.

Strange.

I still loved the movie, though.
