Dunno... Ha! I can imagine them sitting at a bar, drunk and saying, "You know... I created a game too!! It was called StarTropics!!!" (In an extreamly drunk tone!) XDDD
Sub(-C-)merged in a beer bottle? If that's the case I hope Nav-Com will find the way back to the surface soon.
But maybe - if Zoda didn't kidnap these masterminds and force them to make a sequel for taking another revenge on Mike - they are lying on a lonely beach and restoring their lifes with coconut milk - with the big fat grin of successful game developers.
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! OMG!! That's an awesome response!! XDDD Kudos for that! :D But seriously... If I worked for Nintendo StarTropics would be number 1 on my egenda! I'd be sure a third one came out (maybe for WiiWare or the DSi.
Don't be sad. I have Windows and it did not work.
under XP ---> runtime problems (or something like that - although I was able to play some minutes of the first chapter - it starts at a location that looked very similar to the islands at "chapter 6: reunion" from the original)
and under Vista ---> installation problems (hope I can fix that problem)
K. I've always thought of creating a StarTropics 3. I tried in eighth grade, but it steered away from a StarTropicy theme and turned into my own series, Island Madness! :D
Well, it was on paper, so I can't say I have any video footage, but I do have maps. There's too many for me to sit and scan them all. All I can tell you is what it's about really. Also, I have come up with an amazing opening story for StarTropics 3! I'd love to share it with you sometime! :D
Sure! Here, let me try to sumerize it here. Many years have passed since StarTropics II. Mica, while with the other Argonians, discovers that she is pregnant with Mike's child. She comes back to Seattle to live her life with Mike. She bares him a son or daughter (gender chosen at the beggining of the game, like in Pokemon.) Years later, below the South Pacific, the remains of Zodas spaceship still lay rusting there.
(cont) The pieces of the ship begin to glow an eerie green. Fragments of Zoda's body begin to regroup and form his unholy self again. Once he is complete he exacts his revenge on Mike. He goes to Seattle and has sort of a Godzilla effect, breaks into Mike's appartment and kidnapps him. Now it's up to Mike's son (or daughter) to save the day! Mica give a bit of monologue explaining Zoda's history and passes the legendary Island Yoyo on to him (or her.)
She will start by flying (in a helicopter XD) to C-Island to gain more information and go through the island tunnel for training. She'll meet up with Dr. J at his lab and get all the info she needs (this time you'll be able to SEE the inside of his lab) and you'll be able to use his sub again, Nav-Com, 747-HMz and all! :D You can traverse through the old map of STI but have the freedom to go where you want, with new areas as well. So, that was my idea! :D Whatcha think?
Yeah, thanks! I thought being able to chose a boy or a girl and it be the son or daughter of Mike and Mica! Man! I wish I worked for Nintendo about now!! XDDD
Awesome remix!
I've been wondering why doesn't any have made any remixes from one of the greatest games in the NES.

Besides, have you ever played Star Tropics III? It's a fan made game, that also includes a level editor.
CloudonFire85 3 years ago
I've always wanted to, but it's Windows only and I strictly use Macs. I'd love the level editor option! X3

Do you have any pictures or videos from your own creation?

Ha ha, cool. Mike and Mica - sweet!
I really like the idea of passing the legendary Island Yoyo to the next generation and the aspect that you can explore the early spots, too.

Today, when I was at work, I whistled this song.
Amazing game. Amazing song. The pure tropical island feeling.
