No cleaning needed because healthy bacteria form to create a little ecosystem. Just keep up the water level and trim plants as desired. You might have to spot clean depending on the size of your reptile or how many you have in a terrarium.
i've got live plants in my frog terrarium, therefore i've also got mites in my terrarium. apparently i can't hose down the terrarium with excess water. nor can i use soapy water nor miticides because that can kill my frogs. the frogs breathe and rehydrate themselves by exchanging water through their skin, so oil will clog up their pores as well as suffocate them too. what other solution can you think of that is not harmful to the frogs? thank you.
@dttruon You can gas the vivarium with CO2. This is great for the plants and you only need to remove your frogs for a short period of time. I recommend placing several dishes or cups of warm water in or just above the tank. Then, place in chunks of dry ice. If you let the tank fill with the CO2 sublimating from the dry ice and then seal it up, everything in the tank will suffocate except for the plants of course.
I totally love this one. I've looked at hundreds of vivs and terrs on YT but I think I like this one the best because it looks so beautiful and yet simple. Not to intimidating to make. I love the way you placed the little pool in the middle with the rocks around it. Do you think it would work fine for dart frogs? If I make one its going to be for dart frogs. I'd put a tiny pump in the pond with rocks around it for water to come out of the top and flow over the sides I think.
so the question is, how much?

@SuperDZproductions Depends on the size of the tank and if it has a water feature. This terrarium sold for $250.

@reptoman106 You can put any tropical reptile in my terrarium. This specific setup would be perfect for a snakes, geckos or any tropical lizard.
