Great info guys. On a busy night the girls at the Del Ray usually charge $100 an hour. On a slow night about $40. The girls on the street corners are much much cheaper than the girls at the Del Ray. And the boys are usually around the gay bars, and pretty cheap as well. But they are very territorial, so you wont see a lot of them together like with the girls.
I've never had to get a room there so I'm not sure.... It's a nice hotel so I'm bet they don't rent by the hour. Hotel Little Havana is another hotel worth checking out. Google it, and i'm sure you'll find some good info on it.

if you are a US citizen who moved to CR and has been working there for over a year do you have to pay income taxes to BOTH the US and the CR government?
You will still be responsible for your US social security taxes if you don't already pay into the caja, but you are exempt from paying income tax up to I believe $78,000, and if married, you can add another $78,000 to it. :) Also, if you are paid from a foreign company (not residing in Costa Rica at all) you are exempt from paying the income taxes as well here.
