2 reasons when I built the car in 1991 electric fans were junk and would NOT keep it cool for cruising the fan is good up to 10,000 rpm when I redo the car I will be updating quite a few things including putting a electric fan new paint interior diff wheels diff suspension gears just modernize a bunch of stuff building a 55 Gasser car rt now so all my $ is going to it hope that answered your ? thanks Don...

@kustomdon kinda true in 91 i had a 66 chevelle with electric fan,i used 1 16 inch puller,mounted on back of rad. 4 core. brass in florida, daily driver,3 things, took a 180 thermo positioned it in opening it was 50/50, then i drilled a hole in the side on the flange part so water could pre-maturely start to trickle, also got a flat round piece of steel,a flow disk and riveted to back of waterpump inside. which cupped the water. i ran at 180 and at lights would go to 210 tops.now i use a griffn
