Most latemodel cars have power steering. all it does is make it easier to turn at low speeds, but you lose your high-speed accuracy. I removed my power steering, but its not nessecary to remove it if you want to drift, it will just give you a little more control. a lot of older cars, especially asian ones that are inexpensive and lightweight (like an 86) don't come with powersteering, because it makes the car more expensive, adds weight, and isn't as needed on a light car. Idk if Taks had it.
takumi's 86 dosent have power steering. in initial d fourth stage episo 22 takumi races god hand's honda s2000 cr. he learns one hand drifting from him. later takumi tells his dad that he can use one had drifting on his dads impresa wrx sti but not on the 86 because of the manual steering, Bunta tells him if he can use one hand drifting on the 86 he'll go a lot faster.

an 86 ith 130hp is a turtle without a steep slope but a 11000rpm reving 1.6 NA makes it better and the 11000rpm has same fuel economy till 8000rpm cos same capacity but maybe 11000 a little thirstier but who knows still good advice
The fuel maps would be different, as well as the bore:stroke and rod:stroke ratios, the gearing would be different (you would have to change trannies too) and a lot of other stuff. Fuel economy isn't about displacement, although that helps, its about tuning (think about hp- you don't need a big engine to get a lot of hp; same with fuel economy, you can have a 1.6L engine that gets more hp and less economy than a v8, if the V8 is from like a Caddy, and the I4 is tuned for racing

AE86 pulling at 11,000 rpm breaks the horsepower after he shift 5 gear that deacc. and i can outclass the ae86 no matter how hard he push his car :)

it wouldn't have the same fuel economy coz the compression ratio in the racing engine is so much higher than the standard 4AG.

i love playing in this road when im playing on my psp, espcially when i use the shortcuts.
the funny thing is whem my FD3S had a glitch when i use the shortcut and looked like my FD was flying when i watched the replay lol
