I love the crackle of the vinyl..I miss that.Great song! The instrumental part sounds so good!!!Thanks for posting!!! this music is much better that the junk we have today. This song should have been a huge hit..Joe was robbed,he was robbed.Lol
I've posted this before on other sites. When this came out I thought was going to be a huge hit. It wasn't. And I'm like wondering about the musical taste that either I had or the public. I never tire of the song and when I first heard it it was like what people described first hearing the Beatles or Chicago. So obviously I don't have the same taste as most. But I can at least listen to it whenever I want.
@StanBennet Yeah, It has a very "jazzy" sound with the horns and all... It didn't have the new wave sound or the goofy lyrics of most 80's music. This was serious music and most didn't understand it. I liked the sound of Joe Jackson but I must admit, I wasn't a fan. I like the music a lot more now that I'm an old fart. :-D
Another group that never hit or stayed on mainstream long was Rush. The lyrics were way too serious, with deep meaning.... I love that music with deep meaning....
Great sound!
