  • Awesome video. Sad to see the demise of these beautiful freighters, though.

  • Great video. My dad worked at Inland - Indiana Harbor Works for 35 years until retirement in 1985. He thanks you as well, says it brings back old memories,,Thanks for posting.

  • my father worked on the block and the fitz when they were in dry dock and maintenance my father was happy to see her here in escanaba for her last years of her life

  • Great Tribute!

  • thanks

  • That is one awesome tribute.....

  • thank you

  • Great tribute.

  • Very nice tribute! So sad to see these ladies of the Lakes going to scrap. IS this a sign of the future that interest in our history is ending??

  • Yes. It's very sad.. to see that these majestic freighters are being repalce with ugly floating boxes....

  • who know what song that is

  • enya: Return to innocence

  • I thought it was Enigma?

  • i found it under enya on limewire

  • Not trying to be a smartie pants but I found the video on YouTube (I remeber this one) Search: Enigma - Return to innocence . Kind of interesting. But I don't want to take away from you great video. Peace.

  • Nah Bro it is all good here you are not acting like a smartie pants over here your comments are always welcome. i was wrong i backtracked on limewire and you were right.

  • Cool. Keep the vids comin!

  • You put together nice videos! It was sad to see her leave for scrap. I know many in Esky thought of her as an eyesore and was ready to have the block gone; as a boatnerd it is always sad to see the lakeboats being cut up. I was in Mackinaw as the tow passed under the bridge and took many pictures knowing it was the last time the L.E. Block would pass under the bridge.

  • thank you for the comment i take it that you seen the video i done on the S.S. Edward L. Ryerson already? if not i think you will like that one as well.

  • No she was sent to canada for the cut up. It was a sad day for my father he worked on it as a pipefiter during a layup in chicago in 1974.

  • this is my first time ever publishing a movie on here please excuse the flaws on here.
