the screen hinge on these is cheap crap, mine was wiggling at the hinge after a few days of regular use. Traded it in for a convoy 2, this phone screams gimmick

Bring back the nokia bricks! Those things werent mil spec, we literally threw them as high as we could in high school and they'd crash back down on concrete, battery pack would pop off. Put it back together and go about your phone calling, this didn't occur just once either. If you can't punt a phone 40 yards it shouldn't be mil-spec!

So I just ordered this phone for my girlfriend. I originally got her a droid1, she broke her screen, so got her a droid2, she broke that too, and then got her a droid3 and she broke that as well. Tired of spending money on this. Verizon doesn't let you upgrade every 6 weeks unfortunately. This phone better last her for the next 4-5 years. I am tired of shelling out money for phones!

Being a former owner of the Brigade, I know that scuffing is going to happen. If you expect this thing to stay looking new, it's not gonna.

I want to see if it can handle getting thrown. My Brigade handled 50 foot throws on grass, which I think this can too. My Brigade's worst throw was a 20 foot, 8' high, throw on concrete and a 20 foot slide. It was major scuffing, but it worked. Can this handle that? No moving parts sounds like nice. Thats what killed my Brigade, that and no gorilla glass.

Dropping it on it's front and back isn't much of a test, the force is being distributed to the whole surface thus causing minimal damage. I was really hoping to see you drop it on it's side or on a corner...

I flung my blanket, and I didn't know that my phone was on it. It hit the wall and then bounced onto the cement floor (I was in the basment) and it came away perfectly fine. This is why I told my dad I needed this phone lol

That gets scuffed up easily. I dropped my old iPod nano 5G a story down onto cement 50 times, and it got 2 small scratches, still works, and has no cracks in the glass. I did the same with my iPhone 1, and same results.
