@villilaaban I hope this helps . if you check out lesson #13 , i discuss this tune and it might help . and good luck on your exam . i'll send it to you .
ok. im taking this a step at a time. Can anyone tell me how that 2nd chord ( A#m9) fits inside the key of G? What is the harmony behind it? Is it some kind of tritione sub? If so explain. Thanks
thx SWORD678912 ! if i had 1 likes. 36 dislikes, then i might feel hurt . i really don't let 1 or 2 mean spirited people bother me. there's too many nice people on youtube . :-)
@freddym223 This is a beautiful version. In my time i've seen some of the greatest players including Wes & Tal. Nice richly textured chords..remind me of Barney Kessel's when he backed Billie Holiday on this tune. Criticism means nothing...the way i see it,even Wes Montgomery was criticised.
@freddym223 During the 70s htru to the 90s, I wasted too much time with the noisy, pentatonic ramblings associated with Blues/Rock. Far too predictable , i've settled back to re-learn some melodic playing and i've dug out my Wes, Django & George Barnes LP's.. You're videos are inspirational.
wow freddy amazing playing i love your sound. im actually learning the song for my studio at the moment and i absolutely love your harmony thank you for the post i am learning alot from the video, KEEP ON STRUMMIN man you rock
Hey Freddy, Just listened to this for the first time and I got the Freddy CURSE again.........That's when you hear a song played by you and you have to listen at least 1000 times more! Never can get enough of your playin. Really lovely harmony.......KEEPON STRUMMIN......DALLAS
Freddy you are a genius, Darn that Dream has always been a great favorite, but I never really heard anyone play it like it should be played - until now ! keep posting your great talent Freddy.
Ciao, Freddy! Magnificent interpretation, as always. I've just recently learned this Jimmy van Heusen song. Love his melodies and harmonic concepts. You nail this song. I think one of your great strengths is your excellent voice leading.
I know you just create these arrangements by ear from the melodies, but before you play them for the video, do you sketch out the chord charts? Or do you just have a vast memory?
Thanks for another great video. Your playing is very smooth and tasteful. Good camera angle. Helps those of us who are less talented steal your licks, oops, I mean appreciate your technique!
I've got this in my guitar exam on february 2012 and this will help me to get trough it! THANKS!
