You're attacking a religion you know very little about. mormon, org and lds,org may help you learn something. I'm not even mormon, but you would be shocked at how the church uses their money. None of it goes to clergy. It goes to those in need. their humanitarian efforts are the best in the world. they are good people. quit judging them like you know all about them. respect them for being human beings like yourself. making fun of people doesn't make the world a better place.
@georgiadeli55 Some people believe what Wikipedia has about charlatans: "Joseph Smith, whose translations of Egyptian funerary texts as the Book of Abraham were later proven to be fraudulent by Egyptologists.
Charles Ponzi, for whom the "Ponzi scheme" is named, a scam that relies on a "pyramid" of "investors" who contribute money to a fraudulent programme.
Bernard Madoff, an American stockbroker who ran the world's largest Ponzi scheme, defrauding investors out of $18 billion."
People like Mitt Romney and Glenn Beck most likely have a big picture of the Prophet Joseph Smith on the wall in their homes. How many wives did Joseph Smith have? Was it 20 or 30? How many of his wives were married to other men at the same time? Was it 10? The book of mormon is just a fantasy from the con man J. Smith. You would think that intelligent individuals like Romney would do a little research.
@sjames1012 Yes I have and I am 100% convinced that the book of mormon is nonsense that came from a con artist. Not a very good con artist at that. What is wrong with you people?
Let's see here, Romney has more than twice the wealth than the last 8 presidents combined. And he is "unemployed" (he claims), worries about getting a pink slip, likes to fire people, doesn't think $375,000 dollars a year for speaking is much money, doesn't care about poor people and pays only 13.9 % in income tax while the rest of us pay 33%.
I don't agree with Mormons, but the part at the end I disagree with, Romney's beliefs have nothing to do with his ability to be president (which is another question. There are A LOT of successful Mormons out there.
@Giantravis Romney's beliefs have EVERYTHING to do with his ability to be president. He has proven that he doesn't do any research before making BIG decisions. He probably still believes that the LDS is a Christian church. None of the other Christian churches believe that. In my mind, the LDS is not a valid religion. Just like scientology!
@TheTesteccles Who makes you the one to decide who is Christian and who is not? Nobody has the right to make that judgement but Christ himself. Mormons believe in letting others worship how, when and what they may. We invite others to listen to our beliefs because we feel they are important just like you believe your beliefs are important. If you and the "other churches" are so Christian, then please, stop judging others.
@georgiadeli55 Do you have an opinion about Scientology or other cults? You should have. If one of your family members told you they had joined Scientology or the Unification church, you would support their decision? We all need to think critically and make judgments. These organizations call themselves religions. The LDS are just a cult and you haven't discovered it yet. I hope someday you will.
As a mormon i find many of the things he says offensive, whether directed at Jews, Catholics, mormons, or Evangelical, etc. However, I have to admit that he is right sometimes. many "religious" people are ironically oftentimes walking contradictions of what they profess to believe.
Bill sure does defend the one country in the world, above all, conceived of and maintained to support one religion--Judaism. It seems Bill believes in religion more than he lets on.
@ActaNonVerba71 I'm 99% sure you have no idea what you are talking about. Please watch the movie 'Religulous', where Bill talks to holocaust denying Jews. He has no bias.
@ActaNonVerba71 I have, and I have no doubt that you can't help me. But hopefully I can help you, because no such bias exists. Please link me to a video that might justify your assertion, because I have seen multiple evidences to the contrary.
@windigo77 It's easy to find discussion of Maher's bias. Just use google or something or another search engine and type in words like "Bill Maher" "zionist" "bias" "Israel" "hypocrite" "pro Israel" "jew" It's not hard to find. Here's a little sample video on YouTube, type in "Bill Maher Admits to Being a Zionist & Expresses Desire to Work for Netanyahu!
@ActaNonVerba71 Dude. I now feel officially stupider for watching that video. He's not a zionist, and your an idiot. Magic thing called comedy friend, you have to be smart enough to recognize sarcasm when you see it.
@windigo77 Well Mr Israel firster, how about you just go fuck yourself and let people capable of being objective worry about your fellow Israel firster Bill Maher. Unless the internet winds up getting censored, the game is gradually going to be up. It's getting harder to control people's minds now they have more access to information and dissenting opinions and people like you can't stop that.
@ActaNonVerba71 Yes, I agree. But you aren't going to get very far calling random atheists Zionists, as if that makes any sense at all. I don't love Bill Maher, but thinking he is a zionist jew is... retarded.
Yup, Smith was a con man. As was his father... The con was called "glass looking".
How anyone can believe this crap is beyond me... And yes, it's totally valid to ask yourself, "is a man who believes this bunk a smart enough man to run the country.?"
@blupheonix44 Well, every president of the United States has been Christian... or in other words they believe that there was a 40 flood where everyone died except for a prophet named Noah. How could a man being called by God and then receiving new scripture be anymore crazy than that? The truth is that if someone wants to know the truth, they just have to ask God. That's what the Bible says, Ask and it shall be opened unto you. The world has always said that prophets are con men, read the bible.
@Order66Productions Oh, so all prophets are con-men, but if you ask god, and he prophecies to you, thereby making you a prophet, and thus according to premise 1 an con-man... huh.
@windigo77 I don't think you understood what I wrote. I said that the "World" thinks prophets are con men... I didn't say that prophets are con men... where did you get that from?
@windigo77 If you talk to God, you are religious. If God talks to you, you are crazy. If you claim that God talks to you and try to use this "relationship" to benefit oneself, you are a charlatan.
Look at these charlatans like Pat Robertson. Smith is no different.
Smith was a verified con man. Then he made up a religion to con people using the same basic looking glass technique.
@TheSnoopy1750 Well if the gold plates were here would you believe that this truly was the Church of Jesus Christ? The internet is a terrible place to explain things like this, but it all has to do with faith. All christians believe that Adam and Eve were the first ones on the earth, science says otherwise. As Christians we have faith that God does exist, that he did put Adam and Eve on the earth and though science proves a lot, we don't know everything about it. Faith, not Gullibility.
@Order66Productions Sorry, but unlike Mormons, Christians don't believe there are many gods nor do they believe that God was once a man and that people can become gods with their own planet.
Mormons calling themselves "Christians" does not make it so.
Mormonism is a weirdo cult created by the charlatan Joseph Smith.
I am done with you. There is no arguing with a delusional cult member.
@Order66Productions Faith is believing in things based on emotion instead of empiricism. Like believing I can fly because I really really want to be able to. Faith = Gullibility. If they are different, please explain the difference instead of just asserting that they are different, because I don't see a difference.
@blupheonix44 Yup, I find it amazing that Joseph Smith was able to utilize the same basic method he used to scam people (glass looking with a hat) to translate the golden plates.
@TheSnoopy1750 Gullible enough to have received an answer from God. I don't know who you are and I reckon by this point you really hate me and think that I'm very gullible, but the truth is that I searched for God in my life, I found the Book of Mormon, and I prayed and asked God just as the Bible and Book of Mormon both say. You can call me gullible all you want, but the answer I received from God is real. He lives, He loves us, and all we have to do is just ask Him for the truth.
@blupheonix44 Smith was a con. He is listed on the wikipedia page on charlatans. Not that wiki is the best source of info. There's all sorts of good quality information available about this if anyone cares to look.
@windigo77 And they tried to convict President Obama for not being born in the United States? So what are you trying to prove? Every conviction is irrefutable evidence?
@Order66Productions Okay, nobody tried to convict Obama of not being born in the united states, a lot of stupid conspiracy theorists might have speculated, but nobody went to a courthouse, presented evidence, and was found guilty beyond reasonable doubt.
A conviction is usually only successful if there is evidence to support a guilty verdict. Regardless, his character is what is to be put into question. If u following a religion written by a conman with an obvious motive, you have to be dumb.
@windigo77 Stop arguing using logic and facts! LOL
Mormons are brainwashed and manipulated by LDS leaders who take their tithings and tell them what to think.
DNA proves the Book of Mormon is a fraud, science shows the Garden of Eden couldn't have been in Missouri as man originated in Africa and the Smithsonian said there is no direct link of any historic facts and the Book of Mormon.
This and their crazy beliefs show they are not willing to accept reality.
God Damn I love Bill Maher....the left needs more like him. Like him or not, his isn't afraid to confront and mock the right. Not that conservatives are bad, but todays conservatism is close to psycho....
No single place or name to ever exist? Try Lehi, Nephi, and Nahom. There is so much physical evidence The Book of Mormon especially in the translation's correlation to the Hebrew language. But, even if you compared all the physical evidence for it versus the claims against it you most likely wouldn't come to a lasting belief in this book, That's why it's categorized as scripture and not a history book.
@SuperDerezzed Sorry, but Maher was right that there is no evidence of any places or names in the Book of Mormon .
Even the Smithsonian put out a statement regarding this. Smithsonian disavows use of Book of Mormon for archaeological guide and sees NO connection between New World and Book of Mormon.
@TheSnoopy1750 Throughout history, celebrated academic elites and institutions have believed in things that, though at the time if you denied them you'd be seen as an idiot, have since been proven wrong
i question my beliefs, and i believe in science stuff too, like the big bang and evolution :), but i am willing to put a LITTLE faith in some weird ideas, and not put it all in something as incomplete and dynamic as our understanding of the world
you're my hero Bill!! and he's not atheist, he just doesn't know just like everyone in the world, just because you believe in something, because everyone in your family has told you it is that way it doesn't mean it exists or not exist, everyone views "God" by their culture, you can't say your God is the one and only, there are many different ways to view God. and you guys have to open your mind and don't let churches and congregations leading and living your life. WAKE UP PLEASE
@Robyshileileh I see - you have to resort to ad hominem attacks on people you don't know because you don't want to see or know the truth. And yes, I do know how to read. And no, I'm not a pervert nor am I a sodomite.
see this is why everyone hates Mormons becasue basically you go around like johava witnesses, preaching your crap, and trying to sell something, and here your trying to recruit people with continued ,messages, here's an idea you goofy Charles Manson recruitment time is over, take your family and go back to Utah and take your messiah who can read gold tablets out of a hat, that no one has ever seen or can give evidence for. thank-you
Joesph smith was a con man, and what's more if anyone said what he said about Mormonism today then they would be committed or called liars. the only reason back then that he wasn't was becasue people believed there could be higher powers and there was no evidence to suggest otherwise like today. but come on Scientology was created by a sci fi writer, and Mormons were created by a con man, and Mormons today try to pander that same crap today, come near my hose and you get the hose crazies
@lovesXtoXspoog i feel for you, i'm all for freedom of religion but if you actually read up on it it makes no sense, there is no way to tell if Joseph smith told the truth, and yet people believed him, same with Scientology, the only reason i can guess is becasue somehow they could get money, or fame from it, probably by becoming a religion, they saw how successful Catholics and Christians were money wise and wanted a piece of the pie.
Many many things have been said about Joseph smith since he made his first claims as a 14 year old. No doubt he meant the failed kirtland anti banking society when he referenced Ohio. The kirtland ledger book was found a number of years ago, examined by friend and for alike and there are no illicit transactions in it. Joseph's boldness invited many people to try and discredit him at all costs.
Top preeminent scientists are much less likely to believe in God - just google:
Nature Larson and Witham National Academy God
Furthermore, there's a peer-reviewed study from the prestigious London School of Economics that shows religious people have statistically lower IQs - just google:
atheism higher IQs UPI CNN
Uneducated religious low-IQ dummies like you love to deny facts without doing any research beforehand. LOL
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Bill Maher is spreading lies about Mormons and about Joseph Smith, none of what he says is true and there is a political motive behind his slanderous remarks directly related to Romney's run for president, If you ever really, want to know what Mormons beleive and why they beleive it, please visit mormon.org and investigate the videos, and order a free copy of the book of Mormon and investigate for yourself how it came to be and read the first 200 pages and see if you feel that it is true.
@Robyshileileh Actually, I haven't been able to identify any lies in this video at all. Can you point out anything specific he has said here that is false?
I'd be interested to see what you think were the lies about Joseph Smith. He was arrested in 1826 in New York for scrying— being payed by people to look at a seer stone placed in hat to find buried treasure. That was illegal and seen as a con. He never found a single piece of treasure but later claimed to find gold plates. Incidentally he 'translated' the Book of Mormon using the same process of placing a seer stone into his hat and reading the words to a scribe.
I couldn't find any errors either--and I was active LDS for 50+ years--mission, BYU, Temple Married, bishopric, etc, etc.
Are you going to let your blanket statement stand, that Maher LIED? Come on. Give us some hints, at least, as to what he said that was not true! We know where liars go, and you surely don't want to join Maher there, do you?
@Robyshileileh Yes, that's why religious belief is negatively correlated with your level of education. Every shmuck living in a trailer park believes in god but when you poll university professors and research scientists, 9 times out of 10 you find them to be atheists are sceptical agnostics. No, religious people are just fooling themselves and talking out their asses. They're dumb like the idiots who double post on a video.
@jessemaurais What you wrote are lies and you just trying to spread lies on the internet. Their is no correlation between a persons level of education and their beliefs, you must be an immoral person and your language is filthy, just like the guy speaking in this video. I will pray for you.
lately we are seeing so many "im a mormon" ads on bilboard and on tv, WHY? you dont the the Pedophiles in the catholic chruch advertising on tv or the Atheists.... it shouldn't be called "im a mormon" should be titled "im a MORON" !
@TheSnoopy1750 No, I'm sorry but the statements you are making are incorrect and you are only repeating the lies that I have also come acroos by the way, on youtube and the intenet..They don't beleive that Native Americans are descendants of Israel, they don't support Poligamy ( in fact the book of M speaks clearly against it, any groups who do practice polygamy are in no way associated with the LDS church) I am not brainwashed, you have not read the book of mormon.
@Robyshileileh "they don't beleive that Native Americans are descendants of Israel"?
Really?
Alma 10:3 "And Aminadi was a descendant of Nephi, who was the son of Lehi, who came out of the land of Jerusalem, who was a descendant of Manasseh, who was the son of bJoseph who was csold into Egypt by the hands of his brethren."
@TheSnoopy1750 The lamanites were related to the mayans,, who were the South American Indian, 400 years BC, The Mayans build temples, had steel, advanced astrology, mathematic, kept records and ancient designs of elephants and horses have been found in mexico that lend support to The book of Mormon,, Joseph Smith could not have known any of these things,
@Robyshileileh So you can't deny that the Book of Mormon claims that the Indians are descendents from Israel?
I guess you really think the Book of Mormon is right when it claims the Garden of Eden was in Missouri despite all the scientific evidence saying man originated in Africa?
Good away Mormon troll - you can't even admit your own "bible" proves the LDS church is a fraud.
@TheSnoopy1750 Once again, you are trying to twist what it teaches. There is no proof that man originated in Africa,, and where did you read that the garden of Eden was in Missouri? never heard that before.
@Robyshileileh Paleoanthropologists say human originates from Africa.
The hypothesis that humans have a single origin (monogenesis) was published in Charles Darwin's Descent of Man (1871). The concept was speculative until the 1980s, when it was corroborated by a study of present-day mitochondrial DNA, combined with evidence based on physical anthropology of archaic specimens.
@TheSnoopy1750 I dont believe that science can determine the geography on the planet where Human Beings sprang from,, If they say Africa, I would say " Ok, what part of Africa?, LOL " anywhere on the planet is fine with me, I don't really focus on those little details, they are of no circumstance to me,, I know that Planet Earth and all of the life and intelligence here, didn't happen in and of itself. The fact that we are having this talk over the net is evidence of God in and of itself.
@TheSnoopy1750 yes, because mainstream scientists and historians have always been right about everything, and science and history never change, and we know absolutely everything there is to know about DNA and ancient American cultures.
And everyone should trust your harsh and unbiased judgement of a people and a belief system that you have spent your time studying without per-formulated opinions you wish to prove by interpreting the facts in a convenient way..
@RickMojave Sorry, but DNA is the absolute best science we have now and it says Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon is a fraud.
Fossil records show that modern man originated in Africa about 150,000 years ago so it looks like Smith was wrong about the Garden of Eden being in Missouri. Or are fossils irrelevant too?
"Prophet" Brigham Young said people inhabited the sun and the moon - wrong again.
And you wonder why people think Mormons are gullible cult members?
@TheSnoopy1750 I would just love to see some "DNA" evidence that could prove the Book of Mormon wrong. Let me guess, someone took DNA from a Latin American and then took DNA from an Arabic and found that they didn't match. Well, isn't true that the Book of Mormon explains that there were other cultures in South America when they arrived? Isn't it true that DNA changes so rapidly from generation to generation that you yourself do not have the same genetics as your great great grandfathers?
Even Mormon scientist admit the DNA proves the Book of Mormon wrong. Google: Los Angeles Times Mormonism DNA bedrock jolted
Furthermore, the BoM claims the "Israeli tribe" was the first to come to America. Wrong - Asian migration was thousands of years before. Just google: Native Americans Descended From A Single Ancestral Group, DNA Study Confirms
Science also proves the Garden of Eden was NOT in Missouri.
really that fact that you can talk and debate is proof that god exists? tell me do Mormons smoke pot becasue you have to be baked, consciousness is an evolved trait. i am open to religion infact i do beleive in the freedom of religion, and i hate people who think that science is the supreme being we should all follow but come on, "The fact that we are having this talk over the net is evidence of God in and of itself." that's your best, pathetic man pathetic, my dog debates better
@TheSnoopy1750 Joseph Smith never predicted the return of Jesus to Missouri ,, this is a perfect example of the lies and Mistruths that are being spread about the Mormon Faith.
@Robyshileileh "I prophesy in the name of the Lord God, .. the Son of Man will not come in the clouds of heaven till I am eighty-five years old.... [T]he 14th chapter of Revelation... The hour of his judgement is come .... After ... 2,520 years; which brings it to 1890."
The Mayans didn't have steel and Lamanites are fictional. There's virtually no archeological evidence for the BoM in Meso America or New World. Best evidence I've seen is NHM in Yemen.
The BoM has serious issues: anachronisms, population claims, and archeology. On content alone it's clearly a 19th century work.
You need to read some stuff other than from FARMS. Google "Mormon Stories Dr. Michael Coe Book of Mormon" and listen to the podcast. Joseph was wrong.
@Robyshileileh WARNING: Mormons want you to go to the official website so you will only read the propaganda they want you too.
The Book of Mormon (claimed to be directly from God and 100% true) has been proven by DNA to be a fraud. The BoM claims American Indians were a tribe of Israel - FALSE. Furthermore, the BoM claims the Garden of Eden was in Missouri - FALSE as we know man originated in Africa).
@TheSnoopy1750 No Snoopy, what you are saying are things that you have heard or read on the internet,, their are so many Atheist people attacking the Mormons because Mormons live christianity in every day life and in each thing that they do and it really bothers Atheists that people believe in Jesus and in God so they spread lies about the organization on the internet with little twisted details to discredit the religion,, if you want to know, then go and visith the church for a couple of month
Christians believe in ONE God. Mormons believe there can be millions of gods as the LDS religion teaches that good Mormons (with many wives and kids) can become gods and receive their own planet when they die. FACT.
Don't try to misrepresent the true beliefs of the LDS cult.
@Robyshileileh i swear listening to you freaks me out, your like a cult, telling people to find the truth by going to the church, yeah like every cult does then they try to brainwash you, tell me do the Mormons drink plastic cups of poisoned grape juice to becasue this sounds a lot like jonestown to me, there is too much advertisement going on with your comments compare to other religious people i debate with, its scaring me.
@TheMindofCory I apologize if that seemed demanding, I'm just giving my opinion. I understand if you don't agree with my beliefs, but I would just like other people to have the opportunity to see another side of this. Again, I apologize.
@getdownto311 nice try acting smart, you're not fooling anyone. next time remember to use the correct instance of *you're when calling someone an idiot.... idiot xD
@TheMindofCory just because someone doesn't use propar grammar doesn't mean they're stupid. You really are the stupid one, so have fun with your atheism.
@air0to0the0throne Well, if you're an atheist you can actually have fun. I for one I'm glad that I'm not wasting the only life I have by waiting for the next one. Seriously, and afterlife with eternal happiness? That's laying in on a bit too thick, but that's propably why people who are scared of death believe it so much.
"I'M SO SPECIAL, THIS UNIVERSE CLEARLY WAS CREATED FOR ME"
@Bennybest1 No, people who think that the universe was created for them have big ego's. But since we're on the subject of size you should see my dick.
@krayluvshula So, if you want to learn about the real Scientology, Catholicism, or the Shariah Law, we should go to their official websites? What we should do is check both pros and cons and then draw our own conclusions. I've done that with Mormons, and IMHO, they're spreading lies. And if something is too far-fetched, I don't want to waste my time trying to understand their 'truths'.
This is why l watch Stewart & Colbert, not him. He's just so snide and intolerant of anything he doesn't personally believe, he'll denounce it instantly. Unlike funny atheists like Stone & Parker, he'll only make fun of what he doesn't believe instead of plain everything!
Sorry America, but it's official, you have the dumbest religious people on earth. All the best with your future, isn't that right Michelle Bachman, Sarah Palin, George Bush and Tom Cruise lmfao.
@TheStormchaser1 What the hell are you talking about? He said NOTHING about race in this video. And, if you think being a Christian or a Muslim is innate, then you're very misinformed. You're not born a Christian or a Muslim, being a Muslim or a Christian is like choosing Republican or a Democrat -- you can, and most people do, change your beliefs.
@lovesXtoXspoog Bill attacked Mormons. And, forcefully throws out people attacking Israel. And, has the audacity to call himself a Christian. Bill Maher is a Hypocrite.
Come on you ah tramp, you makin us all ah look ah bad.... And that isn't even the most blatantly obvious look either, there is a photo from that same even where Jayne Mansfield is basically shoving her tits in Sophia Loren face.
@arnell3314 or you could just read the book of mormon and realize hes full of shit, and yes mormon.org is going to have the whole history about their church tool.
@arnell3314 lol well,l if you believe the bible, then the flood waters did go up to mount everest, meaning their were some fish that did infact know something about mount everest because they swam right past it.
Bill maher is a jerk. He's as ugly on the inside as he is on the out.

@windigo77 Well Mr Israel firster, how about you just go fuck yourself and let people capable of being objective worry about your fellow Israel firster Bill Maher. Unless the internet winds up getting censored, the game is gradually going to be up. ActaNonVerba71 4 weeks ago
@ActaNonVerba71 Yes, I agree. But you aren't going to get very far calling random atheists Zionists, as if that makes any sense at all. I don't love Bill Maher, but thinking he is a zionist jew is... retarded.
windigo77 4 weeks ago 2
Yup, Smith was a con man. As was his father... The con was called "glass looking".
How anyone can believe this crap is beyond me... And yes, it's totally valid to ask yourself, "is a man who believes this bunk a smart enough man to run the country.?"
blupheonix44 1 month ago
@blupheonix44 Well, every president of the United States has been Christian... or in other words they believe that there was a 40 flood where everyone died except for a prophet named Noah. How could a man being called by God and then receiving new scripture be anymore crazy than that? The truth is that if someone wants to know the truth, they just have to ask God. That's what the Bible says, Ask and it shall be opened unto you. The world has always said that prophets are con men, read the bible.
Order66Productions 4 weeks ago
@Order66Productions Oh, so all prophets are con-men, but if you ask god, and he prophecies to you, thereby making you a prophet, and thus according to premise 1 an con-man... huh.
windigo77 4 weeks ago
@windigo77 I don't think you understood what I wrote. I said that the "World" thinks prophets are con men... I didn't say that prophets are con men... where did you get that from?
Order66Productions 4 weeks ago
@Order66Productions Conclusion: So if God talks to you, you instantly become a con-man. That's sounds accurate actually.
windigo77 4 weeks ago
@windigo77 If you talk to God, you are religious. If God talks to you, you are crazy. If you claim that God talks to you and try to use this "relationship" to benefit oneself, you are a charlatan.
Look at these charlatans like Pat Robertson. Smith is no different.
Smith was a verified con man. Then he made up a religion to con people using the same basic looking glass technique.
Where are the "golden plates"? LOL
How Mormons are so gullible is beyond me.
TheSnoopy1750 4 weeks ago
@TheSnoopy1750 Well if the gold plates were here would you believe that this truly was the Church of Jesus Christ? The internet is a terrible place to explain things like this, but it all has to do with faith. All christians believe that Adam and Eve were the first ones on the earth, science says otherwise. As Christians we have faith that God does exist, that he did put Adam and Eve on the earth and though science proves a lot, we don't know everything about it. Faith, not Gullibility.
Order66Productions 4 weeks ago
@Order66Productions Sorry, but unlike Mormons, Christians don't believe there are many gods nor do they believe that God was once a man and that people can become gods with their own planet.
Mormons calling themselves "Christians" does not make it so.
Mormonism is a weirdo cult created by the charlatan Joseph Smith.
I am done with you. There is no arguing with a delusional cult member.
TheSnoopy1750 4 weeks ago
@Order66Productions Faith is believing in things based on emotion instead of empiricism. Like believing I can fly because I really really want to be able to. Faith = Gullibility. If they are different, please explain the difference instead of just asserting that they are different, because I don't see a difference.
windigo77 4 weeks ago
@TheSnoopy1750 I couldn't agree more.
windigo77 4 weeks ago
@blupheonix44 Yup, I find it amazing that Joseph Smith was able to utilize the same basic method he used to scam people (glass looking with a hat) to translate the golden plates.
Seriously, how gullible are Mormons?
TheSnoopy1750 4 weeks ago
@TheSnoopy1750 Gullible enough to have received an answer from God. I don't know who you are and I reckon by this point you really hate me and think that I'm very gullible, but the truth is that I searched for God in my life, I found the Book of Mormon, and I prayed and asked God just as the Bible and Book of Mormon both say. You can call me gullible all you want, but the answer I received from God is real. He lives, He loves us, and all we have to do is just ask Him for the truth.
Order66Productions 4 weeks ago

@Order66Productions Sorry, Obama was never convicted of anything.
Nice logic with the false equivalence. I guess when you can't defend the Mormon cult, you need to stretch reality.
And you wonder why people think of Mormons as a bunch of weirdo cult members?
TheSnoopy1750 4 weeks ago
@Order66Productions Okay, nobody tried to convict Obama of not being born in the united states, a lot of stupid conspiracy theorists might have speculated, but nobody went to a courthouse, presented evidence, and was found guilty beyond reasonable doubt.
A conviction is usually only successful if there is evidence to support a guilty verdict. Regardless, his character is what is to be put into question. If u following a religion written by a conman with an obvious motive, you have to be dumb.

SuperDerezzed 2 months ago
@SuperDerezzed Sorry, but Maher was right that there is no evidence of any places or names in the Book of Mormon .

“Which is my word to the Gentile, that soon it may go to the Jew, of whom the Lamanites are a remnant...” (Doctrine and Covenants: Section 19:27)

@TheSnoopy1750 The lamanites were related to the mayans,, who were the South American Indian, 400 years BC, The Mayans build temples, had steel, advanced astrology, mathematic, kept records and ancient designs of elephants and horses have been found in mexico that lend support to The book of Mormon,, Joseph Smith could not have known any of these things,
Robyshileileh 3 months ago
@Robyshileileh So you can't deny that the Book of Mormon claims that the Indians are descendents from Israel?

Man did not originate in Missouri. Period.
Furthermore, DNA proves that Indians were NOT a tribe of Israel as the Book of Mormon claims.

TheSnoopy1750 3 months ago
@Robyshileileh Paleoanthropologists say human originates from Africa.
The hypothesis that humans have a single origin (monogenesis) was published in Charles Darwin's Descent of Man (1871). The concept was speculative until the 1980s, when it was corroborated by a study of present-day mitochondrial DNA, combined with evidence based on physical anthropology of archaic specimens.

@TheSnoopy1750 I would just love to see some "DNA" evidence that could prove the Book of Mormon wrong.

@withalittlehelpfrom3 well, that's his right. it's his show on tv. and tv is entertainment. you don't have to watch him.

Bill Maher is a NAZI!!! That is worse than Anti-Semitism. Bill Maher IS a racist.
TheStormchaser1 4 months ago
@TheStormchaser1 What the hell are you talking about? He said NOTHING about race in this video. And, if you think being a Christian or a Muslim is innate, then you're very misinformed. You're not born a Christian or a Muslim, being a Muslim or a Christian is like choosing Republican or a Democrat -- you can, and most people do, change your beliefs.
lovesXtoXspoog 4 months ago
@lovesXtoXspoog Then you know nothing of Bill Maher. He is a Zionist!!!! He is Pro-Isael!!!
TheStormchaser1 4 months ago
@TheStormchaser1 I thought you were talking of this video.

@lovesXtoXspoog Bill attacked Mormons. And, forcefully throws out people attacking Israel. And, has the audacity to call himself a Christian. Bill Maher is a Hypocrite.

rockstar9739 4 months ago
@TheStormchaser1 Bill Maher does not claim to be Christian. What gave you this impression?
