i think it's because dancing barefooted would give hmong dancers a better balance and they can more a lot more without having to worry if they will fall or not... there are some dancers who dance in heels, but not as fast and don't have as much transitions as other dancers who dances barefoot...

@Azian2008 ...I'm pretty sure they don't wear shoes while dancing because that's how it was in the old days in Laos. When they're Hmong dancing, they were bare footed. Mostly because Hmong people were very poor when our parents, grand parents, and ancestors lived in Laos.
