Where you guys are coming from is that RA2 and 3 was set during our current time zone. Let's talk RA2. RA2, via allies, had Prism towers. How would you supose Prism towers were powered then, the same for the zap cannon tank things and mirage tanks. Think of that before flaming RA3.

Also, your thinking somebody had the brains of Einstien back then. Just because he published his theorys does not mean somebody back then could of understood it without being explained it.

I don't see what they mean by saying it doesn't take it'self seriously.

If that's what they meant it to be then they FAILED.

RA1 managed it very well but the ability to be quietly funny seems to have been lost on the way to RA3. They have tried to compensate for their lack of imagination by filling the screen with too many weapons effects.

This is meant to still be the modern era, so would someone care to explain why killing einstien allowed the japanese to build giant robots and lightsabers.

... more curiously how do they propose they powerd such devices? Petrol? the fuel consumption would be outragious for gigantor and a lightsaber wouldn't last 3 seconds on a DD battery.

They've decided to change one key event and then make up the rest without considering what the LOGICAL outcome of their change would be.

Incidently, I'm uncertain when they kill einstien but I suspect it is AFTER he published his theory on mass-energy. Therefore others could and would have finished the A-Bomb.

In Red Alert 1 they assasinate Hitler to prevent WW2, which then leads to Soviet power. Einstien helps to defeat the Soviets. But in the real world Japan was also in WW2 and in fact conquered much of asia. So I guess they forget about Japan in Red Alert 1 + 2, and since C&C 3 now has a third faction, they thought Japan was the only new faction which fits in with the Red Alert story.

But I aggree RA1 was a brilliant game, but gradually the fiction has got more childish. RA2 was fun playing as a kid, but RA3 is just too childish and too "cartoony" for me.

You should just play C&C instead, tiberian sun was Brilliand, C&C 3 was good, but the units were unballanced. But C&C 3 Kanes Wrath is nearly perfect and an exellent game. I just hope they don't mess up C&C 4 and from what I have seen it looks crap.

Even I have been a fan of Command and Conquer games I don't like Red Alert 3 it seems too childish and unreal, the terrain and the way how vehicles are animated...to looks completely different from the previous Red Alert games
