Grover Norquist articulates the limited government position so well. The other folks in the room just can't understand a society ruled by voluntary co-operation rather than force
As someone who actually worked with handicapped people who got SSD and SSI, I can tell you, they weren't "harmed" by it, they needed it. We wouldn't have been able to even provide services to them otherwise.
As a side note for those not aware. During the Reagan era in 1986 is when he first pledge was signed. That is a long time to keep a secret. But it seems all the wealthy Republicans knew about it... didn't they... including our Congressman and our Governors that just coincidently fall within that upper income bracket!!!!! Imagine that! We got BIG problems folks. This party needs to be broken up. .posted .Andrea Gardner....
That dude is uber mega scary. I strongly suggest he travel more and stay in different countries for long periods of time to truly emerse himself in the different systems available that work equally well or if not better...
My only question is how do lowering taxes which means destruction of government which of course would precipitate a violent revolution and an overthrow of our government, help the country. Shall we go down the same road as Czarist Russia where the people say enough is enough and the only thing the people will accept is the heads of the wealth on a plate. Can't happen? It has happened many times in history.
Pretty sure I'm supposed to be mad at Norquist, but all my hate is focused on the people in the room who desperately need a Ricola. Seriously, stop coughing or leave the room.
Norquist, as usual, sits there with OPM in his pocket that he "earned" by hustling the top %ers into letting him be their mouthpiece to screw the rest of us and OUR society. He got to this meeting on OUR socialist roads, using OUR collectively created socialist technologies, able to use OUR socialist court systems to protect "his" wealth.... Yadda yadda yadda & on & on. If you actually listen to him you hear the little teenage boy attempting to rebel against his parents. What a fraud!
Rudeness, arrogance, ignorance and childishness all in one nasty package.. This is G. Norquist operating with OPM to destroy OUR country and all we have built together so that the few can have even more that they do not EARN!
If you can't dazzle them with your brilliance Grover, attempt to baffle them with BS.. Too bad they are ALL too intelligent for that! WTF Over! GROW UP Mr. Norquist, your teenage inner boy is showing... SAD!
Why do they annoy middle class americans? What a fucktard. They don't annoy this middle class american. They are inspiring! There will be no middle class under his foolish ideology! He can't even defend his positions! Total fail Norquist!
Sounds like he's heading for a low, low flat tax ~ to make the nation like it was in the late 1880s and 1890s in the era of the Robber Barons... long before the 1930s when Social Security, and the 1960s with Medicare and Medicaid came about. GN's arguments become specious as the conversations progress. Along about the middle of this (as early as 20 minutes in or sooner) they push him to acknowledge he has a very limited view "liberty" for how to help society
Government doesn't take money by force... GN is an idiot.
Gov takes money by CONSENT OF THE GOVERNED. Our representatives make these decisions with the POWER given them BY THE PEOPLE. He needs to understand basic governance.
At 14:30 Grover kind of contradicted the point Republicans have been making for the last ten years. That if you raise taxes the rich we flee the county. But which one are they going to go to?
Listen at 16:50 "the wonders of redistricting" thats the reason why they own congress for the next 10 years meaning republicans. This wonder of redistricting he speaks of must be changed because it sets up staged elections for congress that are unconstitutional!
He's a terrorist, he and others will be visited by u.s. Marines 3 in the morning soon.

he keeps blaming teachers for the problems of inner city kids. They should ask him if cops are to blame for high crime in bad neighborhoods

I wonder how Grover Norquist would feel about less government interference in people's lives in terms of allowing gay marriage. ;-)

When politicians honor an oath to Grover over their oath to office then they need to be rcalled.

The first 45 seconds he frames the discussion in terms provably false... and unchallenged. So it (the rest of it) is not worth watching.
All for "The Agenda Project," but letting the problem-child frame the discussion is not helpful.

We need to get some of those millionaires marching in the streets with #OWS. Let's see the cops push anybody around after that.
