@tashamatasha23 Somebody's gotta put their "Percussion Gun" performance from Letterman back online. That's the video you're thinking of with the drummers facing each other. So much better.
do you really need all those people? that other kid on the piano hits one chord and when they all sing, cant even hear it. assume it sounds like shit because the rest does
So what if it has only three chords. A fantastic song can have either 3 chords, or 20, just as long as it keeps a good melody, its a good song, and this song does just that.
this song rules and "It's Frightening" is a great album.
Why are there so many people on stage? The second guy on piano is Spoon's Britt Daniel, who produced the record. And you need two drummers for the, ahem, drumming part.
though i will agree they could have put more energy into the performance.
I'm not trying to look like a fan boy here, and arguing on youtube is like having a literature discussion in the remedial reading class, but ever white guy with a piano is not trying to be Chris Martin. The White Rabbits singer sings more in the style of the Walkmen Besides utilizing the same instruments as every other rock 'n' roll band with a piano, the Coldplay comparisons end.
Then I guess you haven't noticed how he grabs the mic? Haven't you noticed his chin and lips being waaaay in front of his face? I'm not the guy who bashes every band with a piano and a singer in front of it, but this is just to obvious if you ask me. The music doesn't sound like Coldplay that much either, so no problem there. I think he just looked at Chris Martin too much and (maybe without even noticing) is now doing it himself.
And I totally agree with you on the YouTube discussions:p
Well that sucked. That song just built built and built and never went anywhere. Why so many people playing onstage? Horrible band name, snooze-fest of a performance.
I can't believe i missed them at coachella.. they're amazing

You know a band is pretty good if they can do a live performance well, watch some of the other ones, pretty consistantly well jobs done. Kick ass.

I love this song (: But I think it look cooler when the drummers are standing, facing each other and each playing on one drum, it looks intensee (:

( One of my favorite Band's from the 80's . )

It's all a very common swing beat.
The same beat is heard in Mambo #5 and in AFI's song Too Shy To Scream.
swing is swing is swing is swing

Why do people even care what the fucking band name is?
It does not affect the music in any way.

That's Spoon's Britt Daniels sitting in on the second piano. He produced the record, though I'm not sure why he is there.
